We went looking specifically for this little restaurant, located on a side street, based on a Lonely Planet review. I love gallo pinto, but it was time to take a little break after many days of it! So we opted for mixed Peruvian + Costa Rican cuisine.
Sea bass is the focal point of the menu here. We ordered the mixed seafood soup, the the fried bass with garlic sauce, and steamed sea bass. The steamed bass was the best; the broth it's served in is absolutely delicious, bright from the fresh cilantro and lime, and savory from the tomato base.
The flavor was fantastic and portion sizes were generous. Coming from San Francisco, we were also very pleased with the price for an entirely seafood-based meal (about $22 USD for 2 people)! I highly recommend this place.
