After two weeks in Costa Rica, I wanted to stay away from the local cuisine (a bit repetitive for my taste ...) and eat Italian. So here we go for Limoncello. Relatively close to San Jose center (USD 2 taxi ride from Holiday Inn). Staff is welcoming and courteous. Dining room is quite old fashion, nothing wrong with that.
Tuna tartare as a starter was very good, original with avocado and mangos. To follow spaghetti del mar, generous proportion, many muscles and other sea products. The tiramisu for "postre" though is to avoid - supposely home made - too compact and original recipy might have been lost in translation between Italy and this side of the pond. Did suggest the chef to revise his recipy (maybe other would disagree and find it good).
Overall good experience. Staff kindness explains the "very good" rating as i hesitated with "average".
