This homeowned family-operated campground is GREAT! I've never encountered such folks so eager to please and loving what they do. They served the campground residents breakfast on Sunday morning, FREE. They had a can for dollar donations for food, but it wasn't even pointed out. Menu was biscuit/gravy, eggs cooked to your request, bacon (and not the cheap kind), sausage patties, juice, tea, coffee, and pancakes. YUM! That night they had a supper for everyone, folks brought dishes and had like a potluck. They had a couple playing instruments and singing 1960/70 songs. Campers were dancing, singing, eating, visiting, kids playing on the swings, playing vollyball with one another, and the local cat was even friendly. The saltwater pool was clean and large. They even have a fenced dog run and pick up your garbage at your campsite. Garbage cans were placed in many places that when you did pick up your pup's poop, you didn't have to walk a mile with it in tow. They cooked one of those funnel cakes you get at the fair with ice cream on Sat. afternoon. There would've been fireworks Sunday night, but it rained. They even have a mini-golf course you can play for only a buck! They will soon have a nice game room and are constantly improving. The only drawback was that it's on a major highway, and you got road noise, but inside the RV, it wasn't bad when sleeping--didn't hear it otherwise when inside, only outside. They don't have cable TV but have Dish TV, and you can rent a box for $2/day. Their son came and installed it. The "regulars" there from Huntsville and Ft. Payne love this place and the wholesomeness and genuiness of the owners. Great location to go to Scottsboro's Unclaimed Baggage and Cathedral Caverns. By all means go to Lake Guntersville and eat at Top of the River for some lip-smacking good catfish! the setting is beautiful with mountains around you. Their fire rings are very nice and located well w/your RV. This is one of those best kept secrets in the hills of north Alabama.

I cannot recommend this campground and these hosts highly enough. The grounds are kept immaculate, the attention to detail is astounding, and the owner/operators obviously love what they do. It shows in how they greet you with genuine smiles, bend over backwards to help in any way they can, and just honestly make you feel appreciated.

I stayed in a cabin, which was sparkling clean upon my arrival. It had all the amenities (central heat/air, satellite tv, available wifi), and really for the price, was just unbelievable. The on-site amenities (laundry, swimming pool, fitness center, and even mini-golf!) are far above and beyond what you'd expect for a small, family-owned RV park.

The location is excellent - far enough away from "the world" to make a relaxing stay, but just a few minutes away from Scottsboro, Grant, or Gurley for groceries or other shopping needs. It's also just a half-hour or so away from Huntsville or Guntersville for sightseeing and heavier-duty shopping. Lots and lots of nearby attractions and recreation, as well.

Overall, I'd say this place is a winner all the way around.

The owners are two of the nicest people. Talk about southern hospitality, they were right there waiting for us when we pulled up, had our wood ready, and even offered to let us borrow a propane heater (it was cold at night). The park is geared toward RVs, but they have a few tent sites, and they also rent out cabins and trailers. The bathroom and shower were clean and stocked. Everything was very neat and clean, and fun. You can tell these folks have a great sense of humor with the fish light on the outside of the bathroom. Centrally located to Huntsville, AL and Guntersville, AL and about an hour south of Chattanooga, TN. We will be staying there again as soon as time permits.
