“Tour Closed, Good Gift Shop”
Reviewed 23 August 2012

This company was recently purchased by the folks that make the local Tahitian beer, Hinano. The juice distillery tour is on hold while they try to figure out what to do. During our visit, there wasn't much to do but browse the gift shop and try the free samples.

This is one of the best gift shops on the island, so it's worth a visit just for that. They have a number of affordable items that you won't find elsewhere. Notably, they sell local liquor and wine that the grocery stores don't have, and they have the largest line of Hinano branded products we saw anywhere.

The juice itself was underwhelming. A few of the samples were delicious, while others were a bit odd. Most of them are available in grocery stores. The cardboard cartons contain something like 22% juice and the rest is sugar-water.

This place is somewhat hidden. You can't miss the sign by the road. Continue down past the homes and into the parking lot between the distillery and the gift shop.

“Great samples and a good way to stretch your dollars for cocktails”
Reviewed 23 July 2012

There is no 'tour' of the factory, but if you ask at the store next to the factory, they will give you free tastings of all the juices and the liquors made from local tropical fruits. We bought a quart container of Tahiti Drink for about $10 - it is like a ready made MaiTai except with pineapple liquor instead of rum. Quite delicious! We took this back to our hotel and had sunset cocktails on our deck. Lovely and much cheaper than the hotel rates of $18 for one drink!

“Great juice, but not much else”
Reviewed 15 July 2012

Come here for the juice, but be wary of the other nicknacks, mixes and cocktails sold. The 10 minute detour from a trip along the coast is worth it - all of the juices we bought were tasty and delicious!!

“No Factory Tour, Neat Store, Free Samples”
Reviewed 7 June 2012

I would not make a special trip to get here, but since we had a rental car, it was a nice way to spend 15 minutes. We had hoped they would let you tour the factory but that is not the case. The free samples (liquor) were good. Lots of local items, and probably one of the better shops we walked into. Worth a quick pop in.

“Great Souvenirs!”
Reviewed 26 May 2012

Moorea doesn't offer many places to buy gifts for yourself or others unless you buy pearls, but Jus de Fruits de Moorea has many things you can remember your trip by.
