“Best hotel in Aitutaki!”

Amazing stay at the Pacific Resort! Luxurious without being pretentious. Genuinely friendly staff and General Manager. Wonderful views and lovely facilities.

Foodwise, we ate most of our meals at the Rapae Bae restaurant and the more casual bar restaurant by the pool and had no issues at all. The food was delicious and prices are what you would expect at such a luxurious locale. Breakfast was included with our stay and it was made to order. There were many options available as well as a chef's special dish each day (my favorite by far was the Vegetarian Nasi Goreng). Service at the restaurant was also super friendly however needs a touch more training. Our bread plates were never cleared and sometimes coffee would take a bit long in the mornings (though I saw other tables getting quicker service). Other than those very minor details, we enjoyed each of our meals there!

The location was perfectly breathtaking. The resort still retains lots of the natural character of the island and our bungalow (700) was in a perfect spot to catch the sunset every night. The infinity pool overlooks the lagoon and was a nice size and with a lovely waterfall and a view of the treehouse restaurant.

We were able to enjoy the kayaks as well, but sometimes it was a bit tricky getting around the coral. Still well worth it to take them out at least once!

The facilities were maintained quite well and our room was cleaned nicely each day. Internet service was a bit finnicky but that is to be expected on a tiny island like this and the front desk were very helpful in resolving any internet issues we had. The front desk was also super nice and very helpful with helping us reserve our excursions throughout the week.

The managers happy hour on Thursday was also a real treat with free wine and beer as well as super tasty treats. The GM Greg was very nice and mingled with everyone.

We had an amazing time at the Pacific Resort and are already planning to return to this very resort in the next few years! If you are visiting the Cook Islands, you must visit Aitutaki and stay at the Pacific Resort! You will not be disappointed!

Room Tip: Room 700 had a great view of the sunset every night and was close enough to the main restaurant and...

This was our 4th stay out of 9 stays of my 40th Birthday Cook Island 18 day holiday. As the price of the accommodation rate was a lot more than we normally spend, we were hesitating if we should stay there. I ended up getting a great price through booking.com so we decided to splurge and stay there for 1 night so we could get to experience the resort. We spread our stay over medium to high end resorts and self contained accommodation to stay within our budget, experience a number of places and stay at different parts of the island. We had very high expectations of this resort given the rate that we paid but it was worth every dollar and we were so glad that we stayed there. When we arrived at the Pacific we were warmly welcomed with lei and a delicious cocktail drink served in a coconut. The grounds are tropical and the resort is truly a 5 star property located on the sunset side of the island. Everything about the resort is top class. The resort is gorgeous, the pool area is amazing, the rooms are beachfront and luxurious with breathtaking views. This truly is paradise. We stayed at a number of places and visited many resorts and we feel that the Pacific is the best that Aitutaki has to offer. Not only is the resort top class but the customer service and the food is also top class, nothing else on Aitutaki matches up to its standards.

My boyfriend arranged a boudeion style tent as a surprise romantic dinner for my birthday, well I thought it was for my birthday but he proposed to me on the beach in front of the tent as the sun was setting. It was the perfect surprise proposal in the perfect location. This place is truly paradise and I was in heaven that night and thanks to the staff who assisted him with making our engagement such a special night to never forget. I loved every minute of it, it was so romantic to be sitting on comfy pillows in the tent on our private beach. Its a fabulous setting on the beach, we love dining and having our feet in the sand while watching the sun go down. Their cocktails are great, the food delicious with a high level of service and great views. Highly recommend the food at the Pacific Resort it’s a high standard and worth the money, its up there with the best food on the island. We loved the food that much at the Pacific that once we checked out the standards were not the same at other places, so we ended up going back to dine at the Pacific for Lunch and Dinner as the food was so good. For example we had a burger at Puffys and we thought it was average but for the same price we got a delicious top class burger at the Pacific.

The only downfall was my fiancé had arranged the proposal over the phone from Australia with a staff member from the Pacific/Temanava Raratonga. He had arranged a boat charter to take us to an island, followed by the boudeion private dining on the beach and a personal dance show. However when he checked in, the Pacific Aitutaki had no information on the proposal so nothing was arranged. My fiancé was devastated as this was so important and he expected everything to be arranged as he discussed. The manager was fantastic at helping him on the spot, she arranged the tent and even upgraded our room to apologise for the mix up. Even though he didn’t end up getting the boat charter or the private dance show in such short notice what they did for us was amazing, to me it was the perfect proposal which I will never forget and the room upgrade made up for it all. So my advise is if you are arranging something special please make sure you deal with the resort directly not via their sister resort, have email confirmation and ring up a few days before to double check that its going to plan, so you don’t get disappointed. We found many places in the Cooks to be disorganised, the locals are very laid back. Im a very organised person and quite a few of my bookings did not go as planned so I often had to reconfirm bookings, rebook tours/dinners and show email confirmations however this was not a problem for me just wastes a bit of time.

I also highly recommend the Pacifics babysitter, the babysitter watched our 18 month old son in our room while we had our romantic proposal dinner. The babysitter was so good with him she even put him to sleep which was so nice to have time out. Another thing which is really good about the Pacific is they are a family resort. Many other high end places on Aitutaki are adult only, we visited Aitutaki Lagoon Resort and even though its in prime location it really did not match up to the standard of the Pacific. Pacific is a high end class resort, its quiet and we could not hear or see another person from our room, we had a lot of privacy on the beach infront our room, so if you are a couple don’t worry about it being a family resort as its very quiet as the rooms are spread out, I also think that not many familys may not afford to stay there.
If you are travelling to the Cooks you have to go to Aitutaki, don’t worry about the extra cost of the flight, you cannot visit the Cooks without going to Aitutaki, it’s a must and you have to stay at the Pacific its heaven on earth. The staff go out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect and we even got a special gift in our room, complimentary hat and sarong which was a great touch. This is a special place in our hearts and I dream about the day we are back there again. Thank you so much to all the staff for making our engagement so special 

My wife & I stayed here for 5 nights in June and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our welcome was very warm and friendly and featured some really nice touches. We had an Ultimate Beachfront Suite – nicely furnished, very spacious with ample hanging/storage space, well maintained and scrupulously clean. The balcony had good views over the beach and lagoon.

Service throughout was very friendly and efficient – nothing was too much trouble and the management team from the General Manager down was very visible to guests.

The hotel is set in attractive grounds with all suites/villas overlooking the white sand beach. Aitutaki is a long way from the UK but we would definitely return to Pacific Resort if we are ever back there.

Our vacation at Pacific Resort Aitutaki was truly unforgettable, not only because of the beautiful location but also because of the wonderful service provided by the hotel staff. We were met at the airport with flower leis and were driven to the hotel shortly after. A small welcome gift surprised us when we got to our room. The first bungalow we had was between two larger families, but as my husband and I were looking for a quieter location, Greg was quick to accommodate us with a more secluded room. We stayed in room 103, which had a nice reef right out front, perfect for snorkeling right off the beach. The hotel staff was very helpful in booking our snorkeling excursion, message, and rental car. They even loaned me a converter so that I could charge my camera!

The hotel is very attentive to its guests. The daily cocktail is named after a guest that arrives at the hotel that day, and we enjoyed the signature cocktail named after us. The hotel newsletter, delivered with turndown service nightly, provides helpful information about the activities on the island, educational pieces about island culture, and the first names of the arriving and departing guests. We even received an itinerary of our airport transportation and flight schedule the night before we departed (with complimentary 6pm check-out if accommodations are available) and a departing gift. I cannot say enough about the great service that we received from Greg and the rest of the staff.

The coral was in better condition than I expected, especially if you head out to the lagoon on one of the snorkeling excursions (I highly recommend Quentin with Wet and Wild). Even on the reef outside of the hotel we saw plenty of beautiful fish, and a few eels, clams, and blue starfish. The food at Rapae Bay was also better than I expected (get the Tuna Katsu). There is not much selection at the Black Rock Cafe, but what is available is pretty good.

Aitutaki is spectacularly beautiful and I would absolutely recommend this hotel to get the best experience on the island.

Room Tip: We loved our room (103), which is not too far from the restaurant and pool, but still feels very sec...

This was our second trip to Pacific Resort Aitutaki ,and we were not disappointed ,on arrival Greg welcomed us back and thanked us for returning with a chilled Champagne on ice ,lovely way to start ...From there on in for the next 7 days we couldn't fault anything ,the service was 5 star ,the food 5 star ,of course the setting is just stunning ,nothing is a problem and everyone that stays there relaxes that much quicker than perhaps is the case at some other resorts where you are concious, of substandard service ,not the case at the Pacific Resort .
Nice touch on our last day late checkout without asking ,takes the stress out of putting your luggage somewhere else etc .
We will return again and cant recommend Pacific Resort (Aitutaki ) highly enough especially if as a couple you feel like the very best ,well done to Greg and all the staff .

Room Tip: They are all good

After being met at the airport and presented with the most beautiful fresh island gardenia leis, we spent 6 memorable nights at Pacific Resort and loved every minute. Our private, spacious villa unit set up from the beach was superb, with fabulous lagoon and sunset views from all rooms and the large terrace. We loved the tropical/colonial style decor with carved wood features and the relaxed friendly ambience of the place. Staff were excellent and catered to our every need. Food and service at the restaurants was great, we especially enjoyed sitting on the verandah overlooking the lagoon and night sky for our meals which included fish and local fruits. The Island night was terrific, with a fabulous smorgasbord, brilliant dancing and music and an entertaining MC. We took advantage of the bikes, snorkelling gear and kayaks which were provided and enjoyed a massage. Also had success bone fishing, swam, went to church and did an around the lagoon snorkelling trip as well as reading a couple of books. We have come home feeling relaxed and just can't wait to go back. Highly recommended!
