“the definition of paradise”

absolutely breathtaking. I personally loved seeing the sharp change in colour on the border of the lagoon, and it's even cooler if you snorkel there with a lagoon cruise to see the change in depth. Not to mention the beautiful variety of fish!!

“The Vaka cruise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 June 2014 via mobile

Best day of our entire stay. Great way to enjoy this amazing lagoon. The photos don't do it justice...so many shades of blue! The crew were very entertaining , the lunch was delicious, and everything else perfect!

Cruise the MOST BEAUTIFUL lagoon we have ever seen. A day trip, scrumptious lunch included, fun, great views, walks on islands, and great staff onboard.

“Prettiest side of the island”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2014

I have stayed on both sides of the island and the lagoon side is better times 10! White sand + still turquoise water. It is perfect for stand up paddle boarding, or walking out on when tide is low. There are also a couple hotels where you can stop for lunch or a drink.

“Ahhhmazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

Aitutaki Lagoon is truly breathtaking. The colours of the water you will never see anything like it. A lagoon cruise is a must to get out and really experience the beauty of this island. Snorkelling and swimming in the clear water is great fun. Don't forget sunscreen and a hat.
My suggestion for an unforgettable Aitutaki holiday is to take the Saturday night direct flight from Syd to Raro and head straight out to Aitutaki. The aerial views coming in to Aitutaki are amazing. Once you arrive you are welcomed by the locals and it continues until you leave. I would just take a Friday flight back to Raro to get the Syd flight home. Stay as long as you can, it really is a special place to visit and you won't want to leave.
