Do not even consider staying anywhere else on Aitutaki. Etu Moana is such an amazing little part of the world and the people who work there make you feel like family.
While we were there we made some great friends and spent many mornings and evenings chatting with Jeff and Janine about all kinds of things. Dont plan on walking through reception or waiting for a pick up without one of them or a staff member pulling up a chair for a chat. It is so incredible welcoming and at no time do you ever feel like "Just another guest". They know you by name just as you know all the staff by name.
When I came off my scooter they gave me an icepack to take to the restaurant so I could ice my ankle all night, when we were going on a tour the next day Jeff pulled out his own ankle strapping and gave it to me to wear to try and help it.
I do not even need to comment about the beautiful location, accomodation, breakfast and staff as it has all been said.
We stayed in four places during our 3 week honeymoon both in and out of the Cook Islands and some were far more costly than Etu Moana, but this place was by far our favourite.
We will DEFINATELY return to this place!!!!
I can confidently reccommend this place to EVERYONE, couples on their honeymoon, travellers, retirees etc. We met all kinds of different people from all over the world there and everyone agreed that Etu Moana was just amazing.
Have fun!
Beck and Matt

Sorry, trip advisor does only have 5 stars, but Etu Moana gets 7 stars from us!!!
All you can read in the other statements, plus
We had a great time and there is so much you cannot see in a folder or internet.
Service is as we never have seen and all the ladies are so Love(l)y with a smile and a nice (small)talk.
Management (Janine&Jeff), staff and the guests are a like a group of friends and you need only some hours to get in and to like it....
Some drinks at the pool-bar and the paradise is not far away....
Etu Moana, the friendly people and the lagoon of Aitutaki! I love it!
Meitaki!

We recently returned from our Honeymoon in the Cook Islands and we are so happy we chose Etu Moana for our holiday on Aitutaki!! We chose to stay at Etu Moana after reading the fantastic reviews on Tripadvisor. We only stayed 4 nights and wished we'd booked for longer. My advise - if you want a nice, quiet, relaxing holiday in the Cook Islands, skip Rarotonga and go straight to Aitutaki and stay at Etu Moana, you won't be disappointed!!

We loved the incredibly beautiful gardens, the pool and honesty bar, breakfast by the pool, the modern villas, the quiet beach, the kayaks, the hermit crabs, the gorgeous cats (we miss you Moko!), the friendly staff and we loved the bikes!!

A few must do's when visiting:-
1. A lagoon snorkelling trip with Teking - the highlight of our trip!!!
2. Fish & chips at Puffy's
3. Visit Tauona's Garden Cafe - only 200 metres down the road, the lady uses all organic produce from her garden, YUM
4. Bike ride around the island - there's a few souvenir shops to visit

Thank you again to Jeff, Janine and all the staff at Etu Moana for a wonderful holiday/honeymoon. We can't wait to return!!

Etu Moana is a little paradise of its own on the beautiful island of Aitutaki and we knew it was going to be a very special place when we found out that some of the villas were already booked 10 months in advance!! We thought we had booked the perfect honeymoon when we chose to spend it in Aitutaki but Etu Moana made it even more perfect than we could have ever imagined. It is not possible to fault this place in any way!!! - and we are extremely fussy about our accommodation abroad!! All the amazing reviews you read on Tripadvisor about this place are all true!! From the moment you meet Cecilia when she picks you up at the airport, you'll know you've chosen a wonderful place to spend your time on Aitutaki. All the staff are so lovely and friendly and will go out of their way to help you, so it soon feels like a home from home. Etu Moana is designed in such a way that each villa is very private, so although there are 8 villas on site, you can feel like you are the only ones there! The beach will feel like your own private beach too because you'll often not see anyone for the whole day, after having had breakfast by the pool. Etu Moana most definitely has the best sunsets on the island, which is a must see from your villa front or on the beach and is the perfect end to another perfect day on Aitutaki. The villas are modern and beautifully designed with so much attention to detail and are the ultimate in luxury on this small idyllic island. There is a pool bar, known as the honesty bar where you can help yourself to drinks when you want and make the various cocktails listed in the cocktails recipe book if you're feeling adventurous! There is snorkelling equipment, kayaks and reef shoes available for guests to use (for free) and the lagoon by the Etu Moana beach is simply incredible- look out for the amazing blue starfish!! Make sure you ask the advice of Jeff, Janine, Lovey or any of the other girls before you make any bookings for tours or restaurants- they will guide you to the best things you should try and there's also files at reception with all the tours available on the island and a list of all the restaurants/cafes, which they'll happily look through with you. After our first day in Aitutaki we thought our 12 night stay might be a bit long, but staying at Etu Moana enables you to totally relax and unwind and feel like you are in your own private paradise on the most perfect honeymoon imaginable, so our 12 night stay went by too fast and we will deifinitely be returning one day soon and of course, we will be staying at Etu Moana.

We have just returned from 6 nights at Etu Moana. The terrific reviews of Etu Moana on Tripadvisor persuaded me to book this resort, as we had never been to the Cook Islands and did not know what to expect.
Etu Moana was all that we wanted, gorgeous villas, Impeccable gardens. Excellent service and the nicest of hosts/managers, Jeff & Janine.
This is the perfect place for couples, whether older (like us) or honeymooners, with whom it is quite popular. If you like a peaceful, gorgeous place, this is for you!
