We planned this eight day retreat with family and friends last year. It is one of our most memorable trips and this lodge helped make it so. We rented the whole facility as a self catering, short term residence and it worked quite well for the ten of us in residence. We cooked some wonderful meals on the Viking stove as well as took advantage of the local restaurants that remained open into September. We viewed Dahl sheep and goats on the mountains and were there for the first snow on the peaks that surround the area. Day trips to Seward, Anchorage, Cooper Lake and Soldotna were all easy drives since the lodge is so centrally located on the peninsula. The fall colors were fabulous as the week progressed and the fire pit was wonderful the evening we used it late into the night. While everyone was situated bedroom wise we would like to see one room that has a king or two twins that can be bridged into a king bed. I will say, the pictures that are currently on trip advisor do give a good overview of the property.
