“You'll never want to leave!”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

We planned on staying in Cooper Landing just one night, but we were so impressed with Drifters Lodge that we stayed 3 nights...and would have stayed longer if our plane didn't leave the next day! When we arrived, the extremely helpful and charismatic staff offered to start a fire for us, at 10PM! The fire pit is situated at the perfect spot looking over the bluest river I've ever seen in my life. Our jaws dropped when we saw the inside of the cabin. It is so far from the cheap looking hotel furniture we were used to. We stayed at the anchorage hilton earlier, which wasn't nearly as nice. The beds were incredibly comfy and the view from the cabin was breathtaking! We had a great time getting to know the staff, who were so friendly and helpful. You could tell they loved working there. They took us down the river on the raft for a scenic and informative tour. We saw so many bald eagles and a bear. There's also a relaxing sauna that overlooks the river. I can't wait to come back! It was such a relaxing retreat.

Friendliest, most informative staff around! The excursions were top notch, loaded with wildlife and stunning views. The lodge is ideally located and offers the best of both worlds in terms of R&R as well as daily adventures, everyone was happy!! The fishing was unreal and I can't wait to leave Boston and go back for more!!!

I visited Drifters Lodge last September (2013) and had an amazing time! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and always went out of their way to make sure you were having a great time! It was my first time fishing and now I'm hooked! We're planning our second trip and will definitely be going back to Drifters!

Excellent, personable guides that get you to the fish! The scenery is one of a kind and the experience is even better! I just can't say enough about the fishing and I am a fly fishing rook. Can't wait to go back!

From seacoast NH.
Our stay was in July 2013. The temperature was pleasant in the 70's and just perfect. Strange to be reading a book outside by the fire at 11PM overlooking the river. We loved the log cabin and wonderful staff. Hired Dave for a guide on a 7 mile Kenai float/trout fishing excursion. It was one of our top ten events travelling all over AK.
Do not like hotel feel, so this was perfect. Had a brown bear walk thru while we sat by the fire one night. Very cool!

This summer our son and grandson were visiting from Arizona so we spent one night at Drifters and did the 3 hr rafting trip in the afternoon. Everyone had a great time. The cabin was spacious, clean and comfy. We enjoyed the evening around the campfire visiting w/other guests. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was an enjoyable experience and I'm sure we'll go again.

We stayed at Drifters Lodge for 3 night the 1st week of September 2013. The cabins were very clean and extremely comfortable. We stayed in cabin #4 which faces the river and has great views. We did the 8 hour fishing with them for Rainbows. We were debating between the 1/2 day and the full day for months, and decided on the full day at the last minute. We were glad that we did, We caught so many Rainbows we lost count. They practically jumped in the boat. We are not die hard fisherman, but enjoy fishing in different places when we are on vacation.

We would return and stay here if we make another trip to Alaska. The location is central for sightseeing. They have a bonfire on the river every night and it was really cool to meet the other guests and share stories. The owners are awesome.
