“Cabins exceeded our expectations!”

Couldn't imagine a more exciting place to stay. Cabins were large, homely and cosy. Setting was fabulous with moose and grizzly bears wandering thru compound during the night. I sat by the window til the early hours of the morning, fascinated by the wildlife. Rooms didnt cater for hot tea drinkers though. Would have been better if meals were included in tariff.

If you can catch the hotel on a non cruise passenger date - the rates were awesome. I wish it would have been a bit colder and we would have used the wood burning stove that was in our room. The lighting in the room could have been a bit better - we were there on a cloudy day and didn't get much sunlight. We had an excellent meal at the restaurant.

We stayed here for 3 night before joining a southerly cruise from Whittier. Very welcoming staff. The cabins were great with a log burner and logs in each one. We had the fire going our last night there, more to say we had used it than needed it, although it was a little rainy on the last day.
All the meals we had here were of good quality, and if you like crab, the king crab was excellent.
Thorough recommend this Princess lodge

Room Tip: All rooms are good

We stayed here the first night of our trip to Alaska. It is in a beautiful location overlooking the river. Every room has a wood stove which we used. Nice touch. I would have liked a better view from our deck/patio. Basically it just overlooked the woods. This property has a nice restaurant, walk along the woods and hot tub. The river is a popular location for fishing trips and canyon rafting trips which we booked ourselves with a local outfit but they will book for you for a fee.

Room Tip: Wifi is available in the lobby.

Just got back from an over night stay at the Kenai Princess Lodge in Cooper Landing. It is located on the Kenai River. (great salmon fishing river) It really is a slice of out door heaven about 90 miles out of Anchorage.
The rooms are in little cabins spread around the grounds, they are very well done with their own wood stove and outdoor deck. The furniture is very comfortable and all the extras you need. It does only have internet in the lobby but adds to the cabin feel. The lobby is very nice with big sofas and areas to sit and play board games or read. They also have a bar and very nice restaurant. It also offers a hot tub, cute gift shop, laundry area, and nature walks along the river and a trail through the wilderness. Just really love this place and if you can snag one of their special rates, it's even better. I love going here for a little get away and give it an A++

Our favorite lodge in Alaska. Beautiful, private, quiet well kept property. Rooms were large, clean, comfortable and had separate living area with glass front wood stove and porch. Precut wood is stacked nearby with some ready in your room- Very nice. We stayed several nights and loved every minute. Property has river walk for enjoying the gorgeous scenery and turquoise river views. Beautiful deck. Gorgeous grounds. Staff were wonderful, helpful and very friendly. WiFi available in lodge only but that wasn't a problem for us. There is complimentary on demand shuttle for transporting guests to and from their rooms and the main lodge. Clean guest laundry facilities. Staff shared suggestions for hikes on and off the property to do on our own. The restaurant was fantastic. This restaurant and the King Salmon in Denali was the very best we had on the entire vacation (including the cruise to Vancouver). Expensive at both but included in our package. The Kenai area was our favorite and worth a longer stay next time we're in Alaska.

Room Tip: Request close to lodge room for those with limited mobility. Some rooms require a short albeit steep...

My sister and I stayed at this lodge 1 night on our way back from Seward to Anchorage. Wish we had time to stay longer. The room was really like a small cabin. Two beds, TV, wood stove deck with tables and chairs to admire the wilderness. For me, this was the best of the Princess lodges in Alaska. The lodge building had a nice sitting area overlooking the river valley and mountains. We didn't eat in the restaurant, so don't know about that, but everything else seemed really nice. The trails are easy, but it was wet/rainy so we didn't do them all. Lots of fishermen using this lodge as it was salmon season.

Room Tip: Wifi in the lodge was good. It seemed that most or all of the rooms had decks that looked towards th...
