My husband and I were visiting my brother and his family in Eagle River, a suburb of Anchorage for 12 days, so we wanted some space of our own. The Garden Suite was perfect as it resembled a small apartment, even with a washer and dryer. Located in a very quiet neighborhood, we were still less than 5 minutes from downtown Eagle River - restaurants, shopping, and groceries. The Garden Suite was immaculate and tastefully decorated.

Brigitte is an organized, thoughtful hostess. Since we had plans that were extremely varied in hours, she worked with us to self host our own breakfasts, which gave us the flexibility that we desired. This lovely residence coupled with Brigitte's support really help make our trip truly delightful. We highly recommend the Alaska Chalet B & B and would stay there again.

We stayed at the Alaska Chalet B&B for 2 nights in December.
We had the Alaska Chalet Suite. This looked like the quietest of the suites as you have no one over or next to you. It was very quiet. The neighborhood was also quiet and is in a residential area.

The suite was huge with a large living room, kitchen and 2 bedrooms. The rooms are bright and cheerful. This Suite is the only one with a full breakfast which the host made for us.
One morning we had omelets and the next French toast dipped in pancake batter (my wife said it was good, I opted for scrambled eggs).

There’s a private entrance which is nice for privacy.

The only issue we had was that the futon couch in the living room was uncomfortable. It would be great if you have a large group and need another bed. But it wasn’t very good for relaxing at the end of a long day. Still it wouldn’t stop us from returning.

The host was friendly and we enjoyed chatting with her during breakfast.

We found the B&B easily from either direction. It was a few minutes from town and the highway. But far enough that you didn't hear either

Room Tip: Can't get quieter than the Alaska Chalet Suite

We stayed in the Garden Suite last week. This suite is well appointed and cozy. It has everything you need for two people. Brigitte does a fantastic job of keeping it well-stocked with basic amenities and providing a simple but delicious breakfast. It is a very comfortable place to stay, and I would highly recommend it. The property is well taken care of, and it shows. This B&B is in Eagle River, which is 15-20 min from downtown Anchorage.

This was our first time staying in a Bed & Breakfast instead of a chain hotel, and we were very pleasantly surprised.

The location is not a trouble as it is less than 10 minutes drive from anchorage.
We were two friends in two seperate rooms, the place is a former family home turned into B&B and looks exactly like it, a home.
The rooms where spacious enough, clean, all the facilities you would need.
So was the bathroom.
Internet is free which is a huge plus in Alaska.
Breakfast was fine,
The owner was very nice and kind.
Overall a great experience.

We have just returned from our trip to Alaska. In returning to Eagle River as former residents,we stayed at the B&B as a way to visits friends and plan for a family wedding. Brigette was wonderful and the suite we stayed in was relaxing and afforded us the room we needed to prep with decorations and the such. We will return in a heartbeat and loved feeling at home in Eagle River again. Thank you Brigette❤❤❤❤
