“First rate B&B in a beautiful setting”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

This family run B&B is a delight in all aspects. Homer and Patrick, father and son, could not have been more welcoming or charming. Beautiful location and cabins on the Copper River with view of the Wrangell St Elias mountains on a clear day. Gorgeous. The cabins were very quiet, comfortable and clean. The full breakfasts were delicious. Plus the close-by Gatona Lodge serves wonderful dinner.

Great overnight stay when leaving Wrangell St. Elias and on our way to Fairbanks. Beautiful, spacious cabin accommodations. Excellent breakfast overlooking the Copper River and welcoming hosts. As good as it gets--highly recommended.

We were given our room right by the river. They have a few cabins with three rooms in each. Every room has it's own bathroom. Michael greeted us and offered us our choice of two rooms. The wi-fi worked fine even though we were a fair distance from the main house. Homer and Michael made us pecan waffles for breakfast. They are very welcoming and even helped another patron by putting air in a soft car tire! This is a place to experience Alaska from longtime residents. if you are going through the area, STAY HERE! Homer and Carol are retired Alaska Bush Teachers and Michael is their son.

Thanks for a great stay!

Room Tip: Request room three, right on the river!

This B&B features cabins with special touches that are absolutely spotless. Cozy beds and wonderful hot showers for winter visitors. The property is right on the Copper River and if you are lucky a moose or eagle might be spotted.

The location is perfect and the owners are retired teachers who can share information about almost anyplace in Alaska. A full breakfast in the main cabin (ask about the walrus) is a treat. Complete with lots of coffee or cocoa.

Sadly we were only able to stay for one night. Be sure to book ahead.

We spent 10 days in Alaska and Riverview BB was the last place we stayed at, while on our way back to Anchorage. The couple and their son's hospitality was amazing. The place has an amazing view of glaciers/mountains and is located on the river. Their cabins were spacious (4 of us stayed in one cabin) and the breakfast was amazing! The location is awesome and the only regret for us was that we did not stay for few extra nights! We only booked for one night because they did not have a website and we did not know how the place would turn out to be. Those booking to stay at Riverview BB, our only recommendation would be that stay for at least 2 nights..

riverv@alaska.net as they haven't got around to redoing the website! Great homemade breakfasts, plus your own log cabin with bathroom. Great location for both Nabesna road and then to drive to McCarty if you want to 'do' whole of Wrangell St Elias Park. Best B&B we stayed at as you have your own privacy and then a wonderful breakfast in the owners home. They make you feel so welcome and have stories to tell :-))

A beautiful B&B log cabins on the banks of the river Gakona. Lodging is 3 miles off the Richardson highway (about 20 miles north from Glennallen), but worth the drive for a relaxing night rest or a couple of days. Staying here gives a sense of peace and tranquility, while totally immersed in natural surrounding. The cabins are relatively new (compared to nearby lodgings), spacious, beautiful views and well-kept. The owners are native Alaskans, well-natured, who have worked hard to build this place by themselves. Breakfast in the main house has great views of the river and snow-clad mountains. Owners grown own vegetables on-premises. Currently they don't accept Credit cards. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: a few cabins have direct river view.
