We spent a couple of days in Homer, and stopped in at Maura's Cafe for lunch. The place was busy, but the people working there made every effort to take our orders quickly and ensure we had a place to sit. We ordered the salmon burger and the shrimp and hass sandwich. The salmon burger was clearly made with fresh salmon - didn't have a "fishy" taste at all. I had the shrimp and hass, and was full of flavor without being heavy. I also appreciated the portion sizes - I ordered the "small" portion of the sandwich and couldn't finish! The sandwich and burger both came with sides - we tried the house salad and the pasta salad. Both were great, and to be honest, I was craving a kick of greens after days of eating seafood, so the green salad hit the spot.
