For starters, the staff are wonderful folks who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We stayed in the Eagle's Nest and enjoyed the best scenery! The bed is very comfortable, everything is clean, from the fridge to the microwave. Good TV and good WiFi reception. If you want quiet and privacy this is the place. Thank you!

My family stayed in three rooms at Kenai Peninsula. Each was clean, well furnished and had a great view from a sea cliff site, but very different thanks to the inspiration of the owner/architect/builder. One was mostly underground on the side of an embankment facing the sea. The second above the office with a deck and third, a more economical unit, was more conventional. Check out their web site for pictures of all units. This property deserves all of the 5 ratings it has accumulated. It is very well managed with owner living next door.

We stayed in the Puffin which is a two story "yurt" made of vertical logs with beautiful ocean views, plenty of room with its two king beds on the first floor, and a cozy and convenient living room kitchen on the upper floor with deck and BBQ. The most impressive aspect is how well built and creative are the interiors, with hand-made counters, furniture and mirrors, along with many artistic details. Very charming! We used the grill for our freshly caught halibut and roasted marshmallows at the community fire pit where we met delightful neighbors. The proprietors were professional, courteous, and accommodating, as well. All in all a fabulous stay!

Me and my wife stayed in the "Puffin" yurt here. It's absolutely amazing. We spent 3 nights here. It was very relaxing. Absolutely stunning views. Total comforts. The only thing I wasn't in love with was the bed. Even know it was a King size bed it was very hard as were the pillows. This might appeal to some folks but I'm just used to a softer bed. I still slept very good though lol. I would definitely stay here again. A+!

Thank you for your review! I'm really sorry that the bed and pillows were not comfortable for you! We've received a lot of comments that people have had a great night's sleep in the Puffin and that they love the bed. Everyone is different though and I'm sorry that the bed wasn't soft enough for you....even though you had a good night's rest.

Thank you for the feedback and for staying with us. Hopefully we'll see you again if you're ever in Homer! I'd be happy to find softer pillows for you!

Take care,
Jen

Our absolute favorite place to stay in Homer. We can bring our dog. It is quiet and peaceful and close enough to all the activities we like to do. The hot tub is a fabulous end of the day relaxation.
The views are spectacular. We always feel welcome.

Room Tip: We love staying here. We don't go anywhere without our dog and its wonderful that they take pets...

These are a unique property that has everything you need. We stayed in tn the Bears Den. It was a super unique place overlooking the Katchemak Bay. So special inside with super special touches. It was amazingly clean. We enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the bay and really enjoyed cooking breakfast on the grill each morning. Very peaceful place. Only about 5-7 minutes to the spit.

We took advantage of a Groupon to try out this adorable, creative space and completely loved it. The artisty and craftmanship alone are worth seeing, but the experience is all the more compelling because of the quiet, the view, and the little touches that make it comfortable. So close to town but out of the Homer bustle. Right on the Sterling highway but no road noise. Did I mention the view? I think even in the inevitable rain, the perch on the bluff would be breathtaking. Gas grill to cook in if you wish, everything you need to be well fed and well rested. We did not try the hot tub or fire ring but they look lovely. The other cabins look terrific, but I do wonder about road noise since they are above ground. Do stay here if you can! Only tiny flaw: full size frig noisy at night, but you can easily unplug for sleep time.
