This is a great little place to stay in Homer. If you want a GREAT view, homey atmosphere, and have an Alaskan experience, this is good choice. They have accomodations for groups and families of all sizes. (Not like your usual 4 person to a room type place - if you have a family of 5 - they can accomodate you.) My only criticism is that the heater is loud (which was an issue in Dec, not so much if you are visiting in June), and something was wrong with our bathroom. If you are expecting 5-star accomodations in a small town in Alaska, it isn't going to happen. This family-owned place is just what you need for your Alaska experience.

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your positive feedback. We really appreciate the fact that you took time out of your busy day to give us a good review. We are happy to report that we were able to get that pesky bang fixed soon after you stayed with us. Turns out is was the pressure tank that needed to be replaced. I do apologize for the incovenience and hope to see you again very soon. Sincerely, Adrienne

My husband and I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The price is very reasonable and the location is great. The service and cleanliness could not have been better. This is a wonderful place to stay. We recommend it to everyone. We will definitely come back.

My husband and I loved our stay at Driftwood Inn's Seaside Lodge. A lovely, clean and spacious room with a great view. We also used the shared kitchen and common area. It is also near the Catholic Church, where the people were very welcoming. One of the highlights of our trip was the all day fishing charter with Captain Steve for halibut and salmon. There was a storm approaching, but we caught fish and felt safe and secure with our expert captain. We were cheerfully refunded part of our fee when we had to return a bit early. We enjoyed the stop at Soldovia, where they cleaned our fish. We think of that day each time we eat our catch here at home. Be sure to eat at Captain Patty's--best seafood ever. We hope to return some day.

My husband stayed here with our 3 small children and another couple. We felt so at home, the staff was very friendly and accomodating. We also went on a fishing tour and had the time of our lives. We will definitely stay here again.

I had a great time at the Driftwood Inn Seaside Lodge. My room had a great view. I loved the common area and the access to the lawn. The bathroom was super spacious and I loved the heated floors. I think there was some curtains in the bathroom that could use some updating or a little more style. Might eventually put in flat screen TVs. But nice to be able to see the TV from the giant tub. If you could swing it a hot tub would be great out on the deck!
