This is a busy, busy restaurant. Reservations are hard to come by, as is elbow space for you, the other customers, and the waitstaff.

Staff seems rushed and frazzled, but still hit your orders right on. Good wine selection, and a nice menu.

We've learned to always order from the specials menu. Not because the other menu isn't notable, but because the specials are SPECIAL! This isn't some leftover concoction the chef came up with to get rid of some stuff in the fridge. The specials menu is inventive, fun, and delicious!

We like the food, but the space usually makes us find reservations elsewhere, unfortunately.

Loved the decor, inside and out. We had a raised table, center of main room, like ringside at a fun circus. Food was very, very good! I think our server might have been one of the owners, but even though crazy busy, she made us feel like guests at her party. At the end of a sold-out weekend night dinner, she took the time to write down several must-do restaurants and galleries for me. We sat by locals who said this is definitely the best place in Homer. I think they tried to seat everyone who arrived, but you really need to make a reservation to be sure you get a table. Probably my favorite dining experience in Alaska.

Cafe Cups is a small bustling restaurant with a varied menu. The owners Jen and Dave are your waitress and chef respectively, but they don't do it alone and the camaraderie among staff shows in the front of house. Even though the menu has something for everyone, vegetarians, pescatarians, and carboholics alike, I don't always open it. Jen will come to your table and share the evening specials the kitchen has prepared, there is always something new and interesting to try. The wine list is not overwhelming, but has variety and is fairly priced. I find the meals very filling so the biggest challenge is saving room for desert. Also, I find this one of the best restaurants to dine alone at, a seat at the small bar is friendly and comfortable. Enjoy!

As for its decoration Cups Cafe is definitely a funky place. I make sure to eat here each time
I visit Homer. It is noisy and very busy. The harried staff do their best and service is good despite
being so busy. The menu has a good variety of selections, from pasta, steaks, and of course
sea food. The prime rib is excellent [ but don't get it blackened ]. Portions are large and prices are reasonably [remember you are in Alaska] .

Found Cafe Cups to be fun place to have a nice meal but just a little pricey - but everything is pricey in Alaska. We ordered a seafood pasta dish and a very select charbroiled rib-eye steak. Both meals were uniquely prepared with sauces you would not typically find in other restaurants. For example, the creative pasta dish had a Mandarin Orange - Champagne Cream!!! Yum - yum. The service was spot on even though the crowd was growing quickly, shortly after we were seated. We came in early as we did not have reservations - highly recommended!!! Try Cafe Cups in Homer as the meal was fabulous and the ambiance was unique.
