“Wow KING CRAB”
Reviewed 5 December 2013

First off I don't eat seafood, my family does :) they had the most amazing king crab feast at the restaurant up there. The ride up was good and there are nicely kept trails to explore.

“Wonderful trip and fabulous views”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

Arrived in Juneau from a cruise ship, having looked round Juneau decided to go on this Tramway and boy were we glad. It was a very nice ride but when we got up at the top it was fabulous. The views of the area were fabulous and very breathtaking.
They have a brilliant Bar and Grill. I had the Mount Robert’s Crab Cakes which were Two crab cakes made from fresh, premium crab meat and seared to a golden brown and served with cilantro-lime aioli. They were so delicious and tasty. Andrew had the Tramway Cheeseburger which was a quarter pound of ground chuck with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. Served on a corn kaiser roll with choice of American, Cheddar, Swiss, or pepper jack cheese. He said it was one of the tastiest burgers he has had for a long time.
Then we went to Mount Roberts Nature Centre where they have a rescued Bald Eagle who was shot and her wing was permanently damaged so she can't fly, but she looked very happy being fed by the Rangers and having people look at her. The Ranger on duty was very knowledgeable about all things to do with the Nature and was very interesting to talk to.
If anyone wants to go hiking there is, higher up from the Tramway a wonderful hiking trail and Bear viewing platforms, which when we spoke to people who had done it were very pleased they had.
We would seriously recommend going on this Tramway as it was very well worth the money.

This is so worth every penny. Beautiful Views, Unlimited rides, Complimentary film on local culture, amazing Gift Shop, and beautiful hiking trails make this one of the easiest choices to make when your in Juneau. Snag a beer, rain or shine fun is to be had on Mt.Roberts.

“Above Juneau!”
Reviewed 23 October 2013

In downtown right by the cruise ship docks is the Mount Roberts Tramway. A short ride to the top affords a beautiful view of the town and access to local culture and excellent food! I caught the last performance of a family song group when I first arrived, followed by an beautiful and delicious Salmon lunch, and a short film about the mythos of the local tribe. There is a gift shop as well which offers lots of very nice items. You can also access several trails from the top but due to the rain that day I decided to pass walking steeper muddy mountain trails with my 25lb backpack for fear of amusing the locals too much when this Florida girl lost her footing.

“Still snow in May”
Reviewed 23 October 2013

We visited in May and enjoyed the ride up. We were a little disappointed that the hiking trails were closed due to snow and avalanche warnings. Some fools went anyway. There was an avalanche a couple of days before our visit. The view was fantastic and we enjoyed seeing Lady Baltimore (an Eagle that someone shot and is now blind in one eye). She is used for education and you are able to be very close to her. I think she enjoys posing and showing off. At the nature center they had a telescope focused on an eagle's nest. We could see the eagle but not the babies. The shops have items that I didn't see in town. We didn't eat there. It is a little pricey to go up in the tram, but it is good for all day. We went back up later in the day to enjoy the view again. On the way down the operator (a Native American) sang songs to us in his native language.
