“Great View - Stay and Hike”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

I will say that it is kind of expensive to get a ticket to ride the tram up to Mt Roberts, but your pass is good for the whole day so you can go up multiple times. I would suggest going up in the morning so you can go again later if you want. We were not on a cruise to Alaska so we were able to wait and pick a day to go that was really sunny. The views at the top are amazing. There are enough trails up there to keep you busy for at least half a day. And there are more look out points along the trails so you can have photo ops. There is also a bald eagle up there that they rescued. Her name is Lady Baltimore. She can't fly anymore and can only see out of one eye because she had been shot and the bullet went through her beak and hit her eye. She also fell and broke her wing because of it. So they take care of her and she gets to have salmon to eat every day. It was cool to see an eagle up close but you have to remember to be quiet around her and no flash photos. There is a little cafe and gift shop up there as well. I didn't buy anything but it ws nice to look. Enjoy the hikes and the views!

“First time to Juneau”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

It was a rainy day (which they say is typical Alaskan weather) - so the views from the top weren't clear and walking some of the trails was not in the picture that day. They did have a rescued Eagle that had been shot and she was beautiful. It is something that kids and adults would enjoy.

“BEST view value in town”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

Compared to air and boat tours you can very reasonably and very quickly see all of the Juneau sound. Great view. Add a bus tour of Mendenhal Glacier and it is an inexpensive port! LOVED the Bald Eagle resuce at the top of the hill. We hiked the moderately difficult trail down the backside of the mountain back to our cruise ship which is the best way to see Juneau.

“Scared me”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

If you do not like heights, don't ride. It is unnerving at the top when the car is suspended over the mountain
