We had taken a day trip to Glacier Bay National Park. On the way there we flew out over water, around the mountains. Later that day, we were on a short flight back from Gustavus to Juneau. Our pilot ended up choosing a much more direct route. We were headed straight for the mountainside, and initially we thought we were going over. That didn't happen. He turned us and we dipped down into the valley below. The belly of the plane only hundreds of feet from the tree tops. When the valley turned, so did we. The view was amazing and never have I had a flight as exciting as that one.
