Not sure if this hotel was a good place to stay back in the day, but I would not recommend it. I was supposed to stay there and even checked in the room. But after just a few hours, I decided to go elsewhere. Shady people around and not very safe, in my opinion. Front clerk had been working just a few days and knew nothing. Sorry Juneau Hotel, but can't recommend this place.

A whole family stayed in one of their apartment units. It was fun to have access to a kitchen with dishes, an oven, a refrigerator, so we could make our own breakfast or late night snack.
The TVs are great and the units feel like individual homes.

Note that some units (or perhaps all) have a sofa bed that opens up to a double bed, so you can fit two more adults than you think.

Compared with other hotels in Juneau, this place is good value for money.

This summer we traveled to Juneau. We found this hotel by checking its home page. Juneu was a beautiful city and enjoyed ourselves visiting glaciers, doing salmon fishing. In addition, we were very happy staying at this hotel. Great location, rooms are more like apartments with a washer, dryer and full kichen in the room. Very comfortable! So it's perfect for people who stay long enjoying this great nature! Also staff were helpful and kind. I can recommend!!!

Will someone PLEASE build a new hotel in Juneau?? Limited choice to begin with, and if you are put in the satellite buildings of the Ju eau Hotel, the choices just got narrower. Hard bed, no pillows, sheets did not appear fresh ... Questioning whether they were changed since the last guest checked out, so sleeping on top of the blanket. Have stayed here in the past, but if you don't get a room in the main building you might as well sleep in your car. There is a kitchen. The rooms in the satellite buildings barely have room for a chair. No elevators. Extremely noisy.

Checked in late last night and found because they had "overbooked" (I made the reservation several months ago) that we had been "upgraded" to a double queen suite from a single. When getting into bed found that the sheets had not been changed - rumpled, stained and several hairs (including pubic hairs - gross). Floor had not been vacuumed. Counter top not cleaned. Toothpaste splatter on lower bathroom mirror. Dishes still in dishwasher. Front desk apologized and provided new sheets and vacuum (helped change the bed but we had to vacuum ourselves). The windows also do not block out the noise of the busy street/bridge and the "upgraded" suite we were placed in is right at the front corner of the building. Needless to say, going to look for new accomodations later today.

This is a pretty nice little hotel once you are in your room. The lobby is OK, the workout room yucky, but our room on the 3rd floor was wonderful! A full kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer was great for our 5 day visit. We ate out some but cooked meals, too. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with a queen bed and a pull-out sofa in the living room; TVs and ceiling fans in both rooms. No wireless internet access but 2 network jacks and the front desk will loan you a cable if you don't have one. Plus, lots and lots of outlets for all those iPods, iPads, iPhones, computers and camera chargers. Hair dryer and ironing board and iron, too. Agree with last reviewer - the cleaning staff was not timely. A few times, we just left our "Do Not Disturb" sign out and asked for soap and towels as we needed them. I have stayed at Goldbelt and Baranouf hotels on previous stays but will definitely come back to this place. Good value for your $$.

Room Tip: Rooms on 3rd floor seemed best. Large, vaulted ceilings in our suite. Parking can be a little tricky...

Decent place to stay, clean rooms with kitchen and even laundry. A bit off the beaten path, a long walk or cab ride to downtown. Quiet and with decent beds. Service nothing special. Bald Eagles visible on bridge just outside hotel.
