Very clean and quiet except for trucks/machinery outside in the morning. Great views. Hotel staff were friendly and willing to assist with any issues. The hotel shuttle came to the airport as soon as I called on a Monday morning. Since there was a stove, microwave and sink, dishes, pots and pans I saved money by eating in. There is a grocery store within walking distance nearby. Downtown is less than a mile away - with your choice of a nice walk along the water, or through the business district.

Room Tip: Probably if you want a quieter room, choose one with windows not facing the highway. But it's n...

I rent two different rooms during the week of March Break 2014. The first one at ground elevation was really handy and practical for our little girl chariot, large doors and solid concrete floor.
We were 3 downhill skiers so for ski boots it was easy with to come in and not worry to scratch anything. The dryer was a great asset for my family and I, Juneau Spring time skiing equal wet clothing, jacket/gloves, ect.
The upper room had and excellent view, lots of space with clean sheets, at 128$ per night, we were happy. There is a nice coffee chop on the other side of the Boulevard (4 minutes walk) call Coppa, hummm for the coffee connoisseur, you will be please.
This hotel is right at the Bridge to go to Eagle Crest Ski Hill. This is a great location for outdoor enthusiast.

Room Tip: For Skiers/Boarders, ground floor level are the best. Easy access, no worry to scratch flooring.

The Juneau Hotel far exceeded our expectations from internet research. We were more than happy with our accommodation for our stay. Wash m/c and dryer were most welcome after days on route. No electric jug, toaster or tea bags for non American occupants. Very comfortable and plenty of space. Loved the bear shower curtain and bedspread. Reception staff most friendly. Would definitely recommend.

This place is more like a complex of buildings. The room is basic but it does have nice TV's and a full kitchen. The only issue I had was the security lights outside we're brighter than the sunlight and kept me up. I'll stay here again next time.

We stayed at the Juneau hotel for a week. The rooms were clean and having a washer and dryer was wonderful. The kitchen was nice but no toaster.
Beware some of the rooms are in separate buildings and have no elevator . This is a problem when you are my age . 74 The reservations were made in april and asked for elevators as we were all seniors. They accomodated another who had a later reservation. There is no restaurant but many nearby if you have a car.

Room Tip: Plan on eating out no restaurant

My fiancee and I stayed at Juneau Hotel for 6 nights in August 2013. It was clean and had everything we needed. It is set-up almost like a one bedroom apartment with all the basic amenities. We asked for a room on the 3rd floor, facing the Gastinuea channel. There were minimal noise from the street, but it was not constant and it was bearable. We had partial view of Douglas Island from our bedroom and living room which was really nice. The location is very convenient, close to downtown, about 4-5 blocks away so if you don't have a car, its close to everything.

This hotel has full size dishwasher, jacuzzi tub, fridge, oven and stove, washer and dryer (bring your own laundry soap), coffee maker, ironing board & iron, and hair dryer. There's also a small gym area for work out, ice machine, parking space and a big common area as well. There's free computer and printer for use on the front lobby .

Bring food from home or you can shop at Walmart, Costco,Foodland,Safeway (Vons). Beware, everything is about 2-3$ more in Alaska. We only eat out 4 times during our stay in Juneau. Tax is about 5%. We brought some food from home and went shopping at Walmart to save some money.

All in all, good hotel since there's not many choices in Juneau.

I have visited Juneau many times and when not staying with family, I try to stay at the Juneau Hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Each room has a nice little kitchen so that meals can be prepared in the room. I had to make an unexpected trip to Juneau in May. The hotel was filled almost to capacity and it was questionable if we would be able to stay all the nights at the Juneau Hotel, but the staff managed to juggle visitors and rooms and in the end, everyone had a room and was happy. (Thanks Fete!) The location is convenient. It's a short walk to downtown or to the market. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Juneau area.
