we always stay at a best western plus whenever possible they are always clean, this hotel is near the ferry terminal & airport, which is convenient, especially during the summer months when the fishermen and tourist are passing thru. if you are travelling with a large family they offer rooms which are considered their north side, which can accommodate 6-8 people

Dear Theresa W,
Thank you for taking the time to do a review on Tripadvisor. We are very happy to hear that you always stay at the Landing when you are in town. We appreicate your comments about our location and our clean rooms. You are correct that our rooms in our North Court area are very large, spacious rooms accommodating rollaways in the rooms as well. Perfect rooms for families traveling. By the title of your review I am assuming you celebrated your anniversary with us. We wish you many more and hopefully celebrated at our hotel. Thank you again for your review. We really appreciate your comments. Linda Peters, G.M.

Pretty good place to stay. Room quality better than average. Good location for where I was on business. The restaraunt was very good, 4stars. Staff was quite accomodating. Parking was adequate for my rental car. I really wish you had smoking rooms!

Dear Keith Y: Thank you for your comments concerning our property. We are happy to hear that we were a good fit for your business location in town. Also, was nice to hear you felt our restaurant was of 4 star quality. Our kitchen manager has been with us over 25 years and he continues to surprise us with his expertice and his ability to keep our product consistent. We will forward your compliments on to him and his staff. We are sorry we are unable to accommodate your smoking request. We do have several areas outside with benches for your comfort to accommodate our smokers needs. We do hope you will give us another opportunity to service your hospitality needs when in Ketchikan. Whenever I return to Ketchikan, Alaska, I am excited by the fact that I know I will be treated like a "good old friend" ! The folks at the oil spill cooperative, SEAPRO, ask me back now and then to give a lecture as they did last week for their annual membership meeting. Dave Owings the mangager of SEAPRO and Margaret Custer made my visit most enjoyable and took good care of me. Equally so, however, was the fantastic treatment I got from the staff and management at The Landing Hotel Restaurant & Pub. Traveling away from home can oftern get to be a real drag; however, the people at The Landing made me feel like I was home. The accomodations, the food, and the hospitality of those running the hotel and restaurant made my trip fun, relaxing and most satisfying. Two people at the hotel/resaurant, Linda Peters and Illa Glisson, went way out of their way to see that all of the equipment needed for my lecture was set up quickly and professionally. We had some challenges at the last minute; however, their creative energy and clever ideas got everything set up and working well and on time for my presentation. I strongly urge anyone planning a meeting, a vacation, or an occassion of any kind in Ketchikan to stay, play and eat at the "The Landing Hotel & Pub" -- good rooms, great food, and super friendly people!
Al Allen, Spiltec, Woodinville, Washington

Room Tip: No tip needed. If you like good food and friendly people, get a room close to the pub.

Dear Alan A, Thank you for your comments. We enjoyed having you with us and were very happy to help make your lecture come off without a hitch. Illa and I are still laughing about as you put it our "creative and clever idea" to make your LCD projector work on top of that fireplace mantel. We always try our best to make the arrangements work for our guests and are happy that we were able to do that for you. It is nice to hear you enjoyed all the amenities of our hotel and truely hope you will return next year to be the speaker again at the Annual Meeting for Seapro. We hope you had a great trip home. Thank you again for your recommendation for our property. You are truely a "Good Old Boy". Wishing you Well! Linda

Very good -- organized a meeting at this hotel -- from the outset the staff did an outstanding job to meet my needs during my three day stay. Food upstairs at Jeremiah's was good -- staff was excellent. Downstairs at the Landing food was average but staff was excellent. Staff that helped set up and work with my meeting were wonderful. Hotel room in the newer section was large and very comfortable. Loved the fact that they had a "pillow menu."

Dear Peggyann M:
We were so happy we could accommodate your meeting needs in our banquet room and that our staff was helpful and ready for your meeting starts. We have 4 great rooms to accommodate meetings from 10 - 250 people with all the equipment needs one may need. We always try our best to make sure your meeting goes off as you plan and also want to take the worry and stress out of your day to anticipate your needs. We love to hear that someone has made use of the pillow menu we have with a variety of pillows to choose from; although the memory foam is the most popular. We are also happy you enjoyed your meals and the staff in our Jeremiah's Pub/Restaurant and the Landing Restaurant downstairs. We sincerely hope that you will schedule for meetings at our facility; as it was a joy to serve your needs.
Sincerely, Linda Peters, G.M.

Quiet, comfortable, spacious rooms. Two restaurants on site and one sports bar. Very close to the Airport Ferry Terminal and Alaska Marine Lines. Fast internet connection and warm/friendly people. Especially Walt!

Room Tip: Rooms at the end of the hallway on the third and fourth floors allow natural air flow from the front...

My Dad had to stay here in an emergency, and then my sister and me arrived. The staff here were amazing so helpful, could not do enough for the family. The rooms were terrific very large and the beds very comfortable. Both restaurants were great we ate here every day. The complimentary bus service was fabulous. Proximity to all services was great and if you could not walk then just ask the for the bus to take you and your there. When Mum left hospital they kindly moved her and Dad to a room within a walk in shower no questions just organised it. Thanks to all staff at The Landing you assisted us in making the best of a tough trip.

Room Tip: The new part is just lovely

Dear Jubee M:
Thank you for taking the time to write your review of our property. We appreciate your kind words about our staff and our property. Our staff was happy to make your parent's and your stay pleasurable; even tho you were here for an emergency. We hope your mother is doing well and enjoying being at home. Altho, all our rooms have the same amenities; our newer addition has some very large, spacious rooms which most guests appreciate. Our complimentary shuttle service is one of our most valuable amenities that we offer. Our drivers try their very best to accommodate all our guests needs for transportation within the city limits. We all enjoyed having you with us and do hope you will come back for a more pleasant visit in the future. Thanks again for the review. Linda Peters, G.M.
