Our first trip to Alaska, and this tour was one of the true highlights. Tom was our guide, and he was so knowledgeable, funny and very nice. He had great stories from his heritage and gave great insight into the daily life both past and present in that part of Alaska. Great tour of the totem pole parks, reasonably priced, wonderful guide, can't say enough about it!

“Our First Tour in Alaska Was Our Best!”
Reviewed 6 June 2013

We arrived in Ketchican without plans for a tour. We quickly changed that when we ran into the Ketchitour booth, which promised us a fascinating and thorough tour with a local guide, Thomas. The price beat what we were being offered on the cruise, and it turns out the bargain was also an excellent opportunity to explore Ketchican.

We saw a wide area of the city, from nature to totem parks, and got a running narrative from a friendly and knowledgeable, true local. Highly recommended, and ask for Thomas!

“Great Tour, Great Guide and Great Price”
Reviewed 28 May 2013

Chose this tour based on the TripAdvisor reviews. If you are planning on going to Ketchikan via cruise you will have serious sticker price shock on the tours offered by the cruise ship and or on the exotic helicopter and whale watching tours which can run your vacation bill to the stratosphere. Booking on this tour was done via the internet. Payment was made via Paypal and they take payment upon booking. Tour lasts about three hours. They delivered on everything they promised. Ketchikan is a small town with lots of tourists--three or four ships unload their passengers daily. If you do not want to spent a lot of money and get a decent tour of the town and the totem pole park then this is your tour. Our guide was very informative, he was part Alaskan and talked non stop--all of his talks were clear, relevant and informative. He also had tons of show and tell items that he kept passing out in the 15 passenger mini bus. He found a couple of Bald Eagles for us to take pictures of and showed us the town, the canneries and the airport along with other interesting sites. Definitely worth the price they charged, very happy with the tour and the guide was so good that I gladly gave him a nice tip for going above and beyond.

“do not go with www.ketchitour.com”
Reviewed 8 August 2012

We (family of 5) arrived to the Ketchikan on July 22,2012 and bought tour to Totem center and rainforest. There were 2 more people and this tour company decided to put us in the minivan. The driver and guide was Elizabeth. She is OK driver, but an awful guide. She does not know anything. When we came to the place, she let us go walk by ourselves so we picked up a booklet and red about the totem polls. She did not care to learn even the information written in booklets. We did not understand why they call this a guided tour. Also the tour was supposed to be 2,5 hrs., but we were done in 2 hrs. They know how to cut corners. It is very disappointing, not just because we paid for nothing, but because we wasted time.

“Great tour”
Reviewed 18 July 2012

We started our day by walking around Ketchikan and decided we needed to take some kind of tour. Ketchitour was right outside our ship and so we decided on the Totem Bight/Potlatch Totem tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of facts about Ketchikan and its culture. Glad we decided to go on the tour. We still had time to have lunch and browse some shops afterward too.
