“Friendly personable and informative”

Want history? Check. Want it presented in an informative and laid back humerus way? Check. Great time with the family from my 77 year old grand mother (history) to 9 and 12 year old boys (gun museum)

“Worthy of a visit”

Fortunate to be in sunshine! Our guide /bus driver was very entertaining with the stories behind the Totem poles and the history of the accommodation. Very interesting.

“Potlatch Park, Ketchikan”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

A purpose built park that shows how the original inhabitants of Ketchikan once lived. There are several buildings, decorated with wonderful artwork. There is also a building where totem poles are being built by hand, in original, native designs.

It is a little way out of Ketchikan - I was on a short tour that included the park - well worth the visit.

“Great heritage site and very informative”
Reviewed 15 August 2014

I would say everyone should go here, but I say that from a singular perspective! A couple in our group of 5 didn't find it overly enthralling, but I truly enjoyed learning about the local stories, lore and traditional artwork that surrounds this majestic region.
The totems and buildings were quite amazing. Wonderful spot to spend money on gifts. Amazing selection, descent prices and great attention to detail.

“Very Informative!”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

Totem Park was a very nice experience but heavy rain spoiled our visit. In spite of the cold and wet we learned a lot about how totem poles are made and all the reasons why the native people made them. Each pole tells some kind of story. It was a great way to better understand the native peoples art and admire the beauty of their work. Be sure to take and umbrella with you.
