This was our first trip in Alaska and set the stage for the remainder of the trip. From the bus ride to the docks to the arrival at the lodge you were treated like family. The boat ride to the lodge was full of scenery that was spectacular and we even saw an Eagle. The nature walk through the Rain Forrest on a slip proof deck made the passage safe and allowed for plenty of time to talk about the history of the forrest that included a monster sized red cedar tree. After the tour we sat down for a seafood feast like you wouldn't believe - plenty of food, conversation and great cookies at the end.
