be careful which salmon sportfishing expedition you book. we booked via Princess cruises who billed it as exciting, 'large cabin cruiser' ..was a rust bucket tiny boat, squashed with 6 on board, 'heated cabin' was a 4x4 , door wouldn't close because there wasnt room..only thing caught that day was pneumonia!!!

We are so sorry to hear that you had bad fishing experience while fishing in Ketchikan. At Worman Sportfishing we hope that all visitor leave with a positive experience, even if they do not fish with our company. Ketchikan has many options when it come to fishing in our small town. Some operations are better than others. We hope that someday you will be able to return to Ketchikan and have a better fishing experience, with another company.

Kyle was really a knowledgable and fun guide that helped me, my husband and grandsons catch many fish and the fish tasted great when we got home. Totally recommend Kyle.

We went fishing thru Holland America shore Excursions, which is EXPENSIVE, But well worth it!!!! If we had the time, we could of done it ourselves. But, that notwithstanding, WHAT a GREAT TRIP!!!! We went out with Wayne on the RUBY II, which we got by luck of the draw.( Ask your girl on the bus for the RUBY II ) It was kinda slow for the first 20 minutes or so- Wayne had to see what depth fish were at- But then, BANG !!!! We were off to the Fishing Pie in the Sky... First fish caught was about 13-15 lbs. Second was my fish-about a 20 pounder!!! Big for Silver Salmon. Avg. for this time of year ( Sept. 17 ) is 8-15lbs. All together the 4 0f us caught 11 fish, averaging 18lbs. apiece. I should note that Wayne went one way, 7 other boats went the opposite way. Needless to say, back at the dock, when we were all rolling in, all the other boats were small-5-10 pounders,2-5 fish per boat.... Everyone came over to gawk at our catch...We were happy as hell !!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE RUBY II. Private excursions or booked thru your cruise line. Call WAYNES WORLD SPORTFISHING 907 821-8674 or WAYNESWORLD@HOTMAIL.. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED !!!!!!! You can buy food and alcohol at the dock, for about 20% of the cruise ship price.....

We booked a half day fishing trip through Susan at SeaMist Charters and Malcolm Doiron was waiting for us right on the dock when our cruise ship arrived. We walked a few short docks away and were fishing within twenty minutes! We were blessed with sunny warm weather and the nicest captain ever! We caught plenty of fish and saw the bald eagle "show". Malcolm kept us out longer than the four hours because he felt we hadn't caught enough fish yet, and besides we were all three having such a good time in such beautiful weather, who needed to go in and visit the jewelry stores? Our fish were processed and shipped to us right on the dates we specified and we cannot wait to return to Ketchikan and fish again with Malcolm! You will not be disappointed if you book a charter with him!

We began our adventure at Carcross, Yukon after a wonderful Holland America inland Alaska tour beginning in Anchorage, AK. The trip was full of scenic mountains surrounding White's Pass. As we began the down hill trip to Scagway the Yukon trail though the pass was visible below us. Hard to imagine the prospectors carrying one ton of supplies over this steep trail. We saw a large black bear and other wildlife along the route. Don't miss it!
