Recommended length of visit: More than 3 hours
Owner description: Since 2003, Galley Gourmet's signature dinner cruises have been a highlight event for visitors and locals alike. Our dinner cruises are much more than a meal aboard a boat. They are a wildlife tour as well, making them one of the most popular ways to experience Kodiak. Kodiak is home to sea lions, puffins, sea otters, beautiful wildflowers and whales. Every stretch of water and shoreline is a treat to the senses. As one happy customer said, "The Sea Breeze is Alaska at its best!" At-a-glance tips and highlights: The Sea Breeze ties up in Slip B-3 in the downtown boat harbor Reservations are required Guests should meet the at the boat at 6 PM Time: We depart soon after 6 PM and return around 9:30 PM Dress code: Wear comfortable shoes; bring a jacket, hat, camera, batteries, etc. Alcohol: Our dinners are BYOB (Kodiak has a great selection of wine, beer, etc.) We can accommodate special dietary needs. Cost: $175 (2017 pricing) per person for the 3.5-hour cruise (does not include tax or tip). Special rates are extended for active military. Dinner cruises last about 3.5 hours and you're special guests of hosts Marion and Marty Owen on the Sea Breeze, a classic 42-foot yacht. After leaving the dock, Marty navigates around scenic islands and passages. While nibbling on tasty appetizers, you'll notice many opportunities to bring back beautiful pictures. Marion is a professional photographer and is happy to help you get great photos. Marty knows a lot about the ocean. He recently retired from his harbormaster duties and his family roots go back to the 1930's when his family settled on Kodiak Island--which means he has lots of fun stories to tell. The ocean air gives you a healthy appetite. From local seafood and fresh, organic salad greens (Marion is a master gardener and co-author of Chicken Soup for the Gardener's Soul) to the scrumptious dessert, you'll discover why it's called "Galley Gourmet, a feast underway!"

This is such a special treat. Upon arrival you are warmly greeted by Marty an Marion, your hosts, offering you tasty appetizers an drink. You can BYOB. Enjoy those appetizers while your knowledgeable Captain Marty, points out all the sites an keeps a steady eye out for all things great and small! As the Harbor Master what better hands to be in. We anchor in a protected cove. Whats that delicious smell? Fresh bread? Some locally caught wild salmon or Halibut? Marion is a master gardener,so most of the fresh produce has been lovely tended by her hands. What could come out of that oven next? Dessert! We will continue our family tradition of enjoying this every year. Make resv early
