On Thursday, May 15, 2014, having been to the Kodiak Visitor Center for some recommendations and brochures about what to see and do, I arranged to go on an afternoon tour with DeeAnn of AAA Kodiak Tour Co. for 3 hours at a cost of $70 which I thought was a little steep but, being a tourist and having limited time, I agreed to this rate. She picked me up 10 minutes late from my hotel in her rather beat up looking personal car and off we went south past Women's Bay, Middle Bay, Kalsin Bay, to Pasagshak, the surfers' beach, and the Kodiak Launch Complex. I took a couple of photos along the way and saw a pair of swans that were resting before flying up north. The highlight of the trip was seeing the buffalo herd at one of the ranches near the Kodiak Launch Complex. The tour was mildly interesting with only limited information provided on Kodiak's history and culture, and a little too much personal information shared. In comparison with the tour I took the next day which was absolutely outstanding, I'm sorry to say I would not recommend AAA Kodiak Tour Co. Signed: Alaska File
