“Great local brew”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

We love having a brewery in Palmer! They give tours every Tuesday night and hold some really fun events: beer and chocolate, beer and art, and more. The owners are dedicated and super nice people. Their brewery is spotless, which I love. They attend many local events to serve beer and have their two most popular beers on the menu at many local restaurants.

“Small but worth a visit”
Reviewed 23 August 2013

After several kid activities - we needed a dad activity and this was with it. Left kids in RV and went in for a beer. It is in a bit from the highway (a mile or two and a couple turns so look up directions in advance). Minimal seating - 1 table inside, a small serving bar and picnic table outside. The server was extremely friendly and I did a sample which had all 5 or 6 beers for something like $5. I thought the porter was excellent as was the IPA - the bitter was also good. Hef and organic ale were ok but nothing spectacular. You can buy/fill a growler to take with you or have a pint there (or sampler)

“A WONDERFUL place to enjoy a craft beer & learn about how beer is made!”
Reviewed 19 January 2013

This brewery has a wonderful, if somewhat small list of great craft beers to try. Each beer has been carefully planned and produced by the owners who obviously love what they do. I loved the boxcar porter,,, I think it was my favorite..I so thought of Guiness as it is in Ireland when I drank that one. Try their sampler to see which one YOU like! It is a great chance to sample fine beer. I loved the small personalized tour also. The brewmaster Stephen has an amazing amount of knowledge about the beermaking process and he is so happy to share it with anyone interested. There is so much pride in what owners/operators Stephen & June have put into this brewery and it clearly shows in the fine beers they offer. This attraction is clearly worth a trip to Palmer just to see it...but there is much more to see in Palmer so why not make it a day trip..the scenery from the Arkose Brewery is a spectacular view of Pioneer Peak.
