Beware when you make a reservation with this place. I made a reservation three months before my arrival date and, the reservation was confirmed with my credit card. I was called by Liz a few weeks before my arrival date, and told that my reservation was given away to another family, and that she took it upon herself to move my family, and make a reservation at a completely different location in another town. Not good!

If you are visiting Alaska, you must include the Hatcher Pass area. We have traveled all over AK, and ths by far has been the most scenic part. The Hatcher Pass Bed and Breakfast is a perfect place to stay-the cabins are super clean, and in a perfect location for visiting the Hatcher Pass. If you travel here (and you should), go to the Independence Mine historical area (Liz can give you the info) and do whatever trails you have time for (we did the short one up to the Gold Cord Lake-only 3/4 mile because we were limited on time-but AMAZING views). Also drive to Summit Lake and you will get unbelievalbe views (the best we have seen here-this is what you anticipate AK will look like if you have never been here).
So the Hatcher Pass Bed and Breakfast: some have complained about the view here-but we found it completely charming-looking at an old gas station with mountains in the background is really amazing-there are mountains all around. The cabin includes all that you will need-a comfy bed, a kitchen area wth a coffee maker, multiple choices for breakfast right in the cabin, a private bath and shower-really all that is needed for a VERY reasonable price.
Liz is a wonderful resource, the flowers are awesome, and you will have all that you need here. i would highly recommend this B&B.

Room Tip: All cabins look great. We had #2 and it was perfect.

When we arrived at the BB the first one we saw was a friendly dog. Like most Americans owner Liz Jackson is also very friendly. We stayed on 3 different days in two cozy and comfortable cabins. The fridge includes the breakfast for the next day ( also eggs!). There is also a toaster available. Outside you can use the BBQ. Beautiful are the hanging basket with flowers on the small porch. We would stay here again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The decorations were very homey. The owner was very friendly; she followed through to make sure our reservations were correct. We stayed for one night. We enjoyed the area.

The only item we didn't understand was the "breakfast" at this bed and breakfast. There were some cold items in the refrigerator. We didn't realize it was really for us. Oh, well. We had a wonderful and restful stay.

Room Tip: All the cabins seemed very nice.

Our holiday started in this nice B&B in Palmer. We stayed here for 1 week and had a very cosy cabin with everything we needed. We could recommend this to everyone. It was a nice start for excursions in the area.

My husband and I stayed one night at the Hatcher Pass on our way to Valdez.
We were greated very nicely by the owner and found our cabin very cosy and comfortable.
Everything that we needed was there and we were even able to make a bbq.
We certainly recommend staying at the Hatcher pass.
We'll definitely stay there again if we have a chance to go back to Alaska.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one-night stay here, and it worked out very well for our family of 4. The cabin was clean, beautifully appointed (the fresh hanging baskets of flowers so pretty), and the supplied breakfast items were a really nice touch. The owner was friendly, and she provided great recommendations for dinner in Palmer and hikes near Anchorage. She provided great directions, and our visit was easy to arrange.

Room Tip: There are 2 sizes of cabins-- we had a larger cabin with 2 bedrooms-- the one downstairs had one bed...
