“Excellent, excellent soups and salads”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 September 2013

My wife said this was the best chowder of our trip to Alaska. The salads (black bean, Southwest) was really good, too. We didn't have a beer, but the food is enough reason to stop. Decor is funky and interesting, and the stop is a welcome one. Prices are pretty average for Alaska. Service was friendly. I'd stop again.

“Nice, but nothing really exceptional.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 September 2013

We stopped on a Sunday afternoon and were a little surprised there were no tv's available. Top grade bartender who explained the beer menu, but noted several of the most interesting weren't available.Just wondering why ABV and IBU measurements aren't posted?? We ordered s bowl of soup and an order of mozzarella bread sticks. The soup was tomato basil and very good. The breadsticks however were dry with very little mozzarella ( visit Mooses Tooth in Anchorage to see how to do it right). Very nice decor accented by lots of natural lighting.

“Great coffee porter and friendly bartenders”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 September 2013

We stopped at St Elias on our way from Anchorage to Homer. We had eaten lunch earlier in the day and wanted an afternoon refreshing beer. The bartender was friendly and provided great information since this was the 1st day of our vacation in the Kenai Peninsula. The coffee porter was the best beer I had the entire time we were in Alaska. Great flavor, full body, and a dry finish. I would have liked to have tried their pizza but we weren't hungry.

“Good beer variety, but average overall”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 September 2013

There was a good variety of beer, but none really stood out. My husband had the steak salad and it was good. The dressing was a bit thick and more like a dip. I had the chili and it was good. I wish I had tried the pizza, it looked tasty.

“Great Microbrewery”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 September 2013

We started out with the loaded breadsticks and I have to say as breadsticks go they were excellent! we also had the beer sampler while waiting for our pizza to arrive. The beer was good and there was a nice variety for any beer palate.
The thin crust pizza was very good, fresh from the brick oven! The service was very prompt and friendly. Definitely would go here again.
