“Odie's Deli in the "new" location”
Reviewed 11 August 2013

#1. Odie's is in a location other that that listed on the trip advisor page. It is now in what was once a Wendy's. They keep moving (4 times??) to gain larger space and easier access.

#2. The food is still GREAT. Their sandwiches are served on fresh homemade bread (many choices). The soups, chowders are made fresh and also served with the heels of the bread and butter, which is great. The inside is somewhat eclectic (think old and kinda junky) but service is great and the sandwiches may be the best on the Kenai Peninsula.

If the weather is good, get your order to go and walk to the park about a block away. Set, eat and enjoy the views of the Kenai River and the surrounding mountains.

Try the turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce on sourdough....yummm

“Delicious sandwiches and soups”
Reviewed 31 July 2013

Odie's sandwiches are definitely the best in the Kenai peninsula.
The bread they use to make their sandwiches is homemade and the fillings are very tasty.
They also have two differents soups everyday (they are all delicious!), giant cookies, brownies, cakes and other sweet yummy stuff.
Make sure to stop by if you're in the area!

Been coming to Soldotna for 23 years. Don't be put off by the run down, dump of a building. Looks like an OLD OLD OLD Wendy's from the outside. Inside is equally dumpy...but the food!

Great sandwiches and soup. Take it away to a pretty spot...park is very nearby...and match the view to the food. Just hang a left onto the main drag and go 10 seconds down the road to the park...grab your goodies and put the cheap tables and awful exterior in your rear view mirror.

“Tasty, tasty sandwiches”
Reviewed 27 July 2013

One of the better sandwiches I have had in a long time. They bake their bread fresh and serve generous portions. I ordered a half chipotle sandwich and a half greek salad for around 10 bucks. Both were very good and would definitely return if passing through Soldotna again.

“Best sandwiches anyplace”
Reviewed 25 July 2013

Ate here 3 times for lunch during our recent visit to Soldotna. Had 3 different sandwiches from the specials list: the roast beef, the turkey with cranberry sauce, and the chicken salad. Hard to decide which one we liked best. All outstanding, delicious bread, freshest ingredients. Did not try the soup as we knew going in that the sandwich would be big. Each time, we split a whole sandwich and probably should have split a half sandwich instead, they were that big! Lots of meat, bread, cheese, and topping choices. Okay, maybe I do have a favorite among the three, the chicken salad. During the summer, you may need to wait a bit as the line can get pretty long. Friendly staff too.
