We stayed at the Aspen prior to our trip to Lake Clark and when we returned. We liked the place: large rooms, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and good location and very reasonable price for Alaska.. Only negative is the free breakfast - not up to Hampton Inn standard.
Did not use the indoor pool or hot tub.
Initially we made reservations at the King Salmon Best Western but for a week we could not get them to email us a confirmation so we changed to the Aspen and glad of it.
