The best in Tianjin.
Extremely comfortable and spacious.
Very well equipped and modern kitchen.
Huge bathroom with large tub and walk in shower. Plenty of hot water and great pressure.
Cleaning is excellent.
Great choice of breakfast.
Staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly.
Gym is very well equipped and never busy.
Beautiful clean pool and tennis court.
Hotel easily accessible with great restaurants.

Room Tip: The higher up the better the view. Lakeside has a beautiful view and much quieter than the roadside...

A very friendly hotel... a must is to try the macarooni and chees at the fire house restaurant. It's delicious and addictive... Roomservice was very quick, and the hotel emloyers spoke well english. The quiality of the cleaning service depended from day to day.

Room Tip: Choose the lakeview side, the other side is sometimes little noisy by the traffic

Sayed in Club level but chose a non club floor room which were larger and have the lakeview, as club level doesnt. Club is large and food great. Stayed for 7 days so felt quite at home. The beef restaurant is first class, beef from Australia was top quality and the service could not be faulted

Room Tip: choose a non club floor room which are larger and have the lakeview

I stayed at this hotel for a week and loved it because: (1) Their swimming pool was beautiful! But it had a strange locker room location - the locker room was not directly connected with the pool and I had to take an elevator and walk through a long hallway to get to the pool. Their gym was nice as well. (2) The hotel room was spacious and clean. (3) Their staff were helpful. Most of them spoke some English. But make sure they truly understand you if you ask them questions. (4) The location is excellent - many bus stops, museum park, concert hall, good shopping and restaurants were all within walking distance.

Cons: Services were spotty. I called the hotel to reserve a room, but I was told there was no room for the days I would like to stay. So I booked my room on their website. Their front desk staff were friendly, but not very knowledgeable. I got the same answers "I don't know." to most of my questions. Some of those could be quickly found on the internet, I believe. One young gentlemen did search for vegetarian restaurants for me when asked.

Although it is a little walk or short can ride to get to urban life, it's a clean hotel with great service. It's well kept with many government visitors and the view of the lake is great! Food is fresh and there is a great variety.

A government hotel, Front desk service improved a lot then before. Last time was a government meeting, can not make room reservation. Club lounge staff very helpful, Room is bigger then Sheraton, the lobby was impressive. I like the nearby Shanghai style restaurant.thank you!

Being a local, friends and I have met several times at this hotel for drinks and meals. The level of service is generally hit and miss, and in the lobby lounge it is a usual 'miss'.

Being government owned, it often attracts drunk loutish 'men in black', who get outrageously drunk, loudly swear and cuss (albeit in chinese), spit and ash on the carpeted floor, and then brawl over who will pay the bill. One particularly bad evening we complained and the marketing manager came to apologise, however said there was nothing they could do.

That said, several visitors of mine have had pleasant stays there, and the location is good; however twice with service problems that have required my assistance to sort the 'local way'.

For the prices that are charged, and the general 'hit and miss' service standards, I now give it a total miss.
