We had the most incredible 12 days staying at Villa Semarapura. The property is beautifully maintained with extensive, immaculate grounds and the villa itself has a very well designed layout for privacy and great views. I would be very happy to stay in any one of the 5 bedrooms as they are all a good size with very nice bathrooms. We were very pleased that this was our fourth trip to Bali because once we arrived at the villa we really did not want to leave and indeed had very little reason to! The two butlers (we named Sudi and Suri) were just the best, the chef gave us great suggestions but would actually cook anything we asked for and everything was superb ... so fresh and with great flavour. Also, the morning chef was just a delight greeting me early in the morning to offer me a Bali coffee and cooking great breakfasts with fresh orange juice. From there we spent many hours beside the stunning pool before lunch and drinks poolside in the bar ... I am missing it already!!
The location is excellent, with the living room looking out over a temple with wild waves crashing constantly on the rocks. We loved the walk into the nearby town of Cemagi where Balinese life was all around us but away from other visitors, beautiful school children waving as they rode their motorbikes passed and people working in the...We had the most incredible 12 days staying at Villa Semarapura.
