I purchased a Scoopon voucher for 5 nights, May 1 - 6 which included breakfast and an airport pickup, which I thought was quite good value.
It's always a joy when things go to plan, so I was pleased to arrive at Bali airport and find the driver waiting for me as arranged. At 9.30pm the trip took around 40 minutes to the Villas. The on line photos are a good representation of the property - lush, tropical gardens superbly manicured by Made, in a quiet, serene oasis, surrounded by a high wall (with an overnight security guard), so I felt very safe. There are 4 villas in total, each one a different style in the Balinese tradition. I stayed in Villa 2, which for me, was absolutely perfect. It was meticulously cleaned by the very friendly Gusti, every day. A huge comfortable bed in a very large bedroom, with an equally large bathroom with sunken shower. The bedroom includes a day bed and small tv (providing 6 channels all in Indonesian) located on a cabinet containing a small bar fridge. The air conditioning unit in the bedroom was quiet and effective. I slept each night like a log, falling asleep to the gutteral croak of the randy bullfrog in the pond outside the bedroom door, then being awoken each morning by the prized cock (who had obviously survived another night of the illegal but thriving cock fighting). I found the shower water pressure adequate, but the water was cold on most days (great after a long day out, but not so good first thing in the morning). Adjacent to the bedroom is a kitchen area with gas cooktop, a table and chairs, and another concrete style day bed. Only basic cutlery, crockery and utensils are provided. But I would recommend eating out each day at the Hacienda restaurant a short walk down the road, the pizza place serving wood fired pizzas, Red Salt, Grocer and Grind, or the extremely inexpensive cafes located on the lava rock at Echo Beach. Perenanan Beach at the end of the road, as well as Echo Beach, are excellent black sand surfing beaches, so there are several surf schools located in the area. The villa has 2 bicycles available to guests. The cream ladies bike I was given had flat tyres, one gear, and no brakes - extremely dangerous - but it got me around, and it was free. The local villagers are very friendly, hospitable, and happy to give directions or just say hello.

There is an in-room information booklet, but I found it did not pertain to this property. For example, there was no kettle in the room, so during the day it was not possible to make a cup of tea or coffee. Apparently I had to ask for one, but I was not given this information. In fact there was no information given to me about what to do or where to go. I suggest a new in-room booklet be prepared containing accurate accommodation information, and, as a previous reviewer suggested some time ago, but which has not been acted upon, up to date information and brochures be provided in each villa. Money can't be exchanged at the villa, however there is an ATM in Echo Beach, and also an honest young man who will exchange any cash for rupiah a few metres towards the beach from the ATM. There is also a doctor's surgery not far along the same road as the villas. Again, you won't find this information available to you at the villa. Wifi works intermittently, dropping out and deleting my first 3 attempts at this review.

The daily gourmet breakfast I was promised consisted of 4 slivers of watermelon followed by a piece of toast with 2 eggs. No tomato, no mushroom, no garnish. No pancakes or french toast as described by a previous reviewer. And orange cordial, tea or coffee. Adequate, but boring morning after morning, and not exactly what I would call "gourmet".

The access to Premier Beach Club in Seminyak, which was a big selling point as advertised by Scoopon, was of no value as there was no shuttle provided.

The villa is currently managed by Gede, who could well do with some training in management and inter-personal skills. His English is adequate, but he just isn't there often, and when he is, he does not contribute any suggestions as to where to go, what to do, etc. I had asked to view the other villas so that I could add these to this review, but he didn't get around to showing me.
There is no doubt that with a more pro-active Manager who could contribute to each guest's experience in this beautiful paradise, these villas would most certainly score a 10 out of 10.

Room Tip: Villa 2 for the romantics!

We were so pleasantly overwhelmed when we arrived at Fare Ti'i after spending 4 nights in Legian. Enjoyed Legian but were glad to leave the craziness of that area and arrive at the peaceful area and villa in Pererinan (very near Canggu) We had dinner delivered from Echo Beach Cafe.
There are 4 or 5 villas at Fare Ti'i.. We stayed 3 nights 28, 29, 30th April in the second one down on the left. It's a large one bedroom for 2 people with a large bathroom with a closet. No bath, but sunken shower was lovely. It was difficult to mix hot and cold water to make it warm. But that was no problem as it is very hot in Bali and it was refreshing to have cool showers. Water pressure could have been a little stronger. In front of the front door is a large open but covered area with a kitchenette, dining table and sofa. Great for your first coffee and to check emails etc.
The manager was lovely and greeted us with a broad smile, a drink and a cool towel. He brought us a full pot of coffee each morning. It was no problem when we asked him to do that as we woke up before breakfast was served..
From our villa we walked across a path to arrive at the breakfast serving area and the pool. Again no problem at all when we asked to sit on a regular table instead of the very high bench at the bar for breakfast. Breakfast was a plate of fruit, 2 eggs, toast and tea/coffee. Perfect for us.
We only booked there because we had a wedding to go to down at a resort at the beach. We walked to the wedding and back at midnight. Very safe and lit up. Echo Beach is worth a visit at sunset. The Echo Beach Café is brilliant where you can choose from a large selection of fresh fish and sit right in front of the water. They have a very large menu as well if you don't want fish.
Best part about the villa and the area ... it's just so quiet and beautiful. We'll go back one day.

Room Tip: If you are a couple, ask for the 1 bedroom villa. 2nd one on left.

Pro's:
The Villas are really about five little balinese houses, created with a great sense for details (like almost everything on Bali made for tourists).

The staff is very friendly, actually almost obedient. That was kind of irritating to us. Some of them, hardly speak English, but are nevertheless very kind!

The Villas are surrounded by a nice little garden with a small pool - so beware of mosquitos!!! Infact that's imporant anyway: especially during monsoon take a mosquito net for the bed and lots of mosquito spray!

The breakfast is simple but fresh: Daily pancakes or french toast, egg in every variation with Toast, fruits and tea or coffee.

Con's.:

Mainly three things: the wifi is often not working (important for us, cause we made a longer Trip and it was our Connection to home)

More important: the Villas are about ten or fifteen minutes walking distance away from Echo Beach, which might be nice for surfers but definitely not for swimmers!

What we really didn't like was the location of the hotel! If you like walking around, looking around for a coffee or a shop just to see what's going on, this is definitely not your hotel! By taxi it takes about 20 minutes to Seminyak and although the price is ok (about 65.000 Rupies) even in the evening it's hard to find a faithful taxi driver, especially for the way back. You should definitely know the way to the hotel, cause the taxi drivers often don't but tell you that they do. I think even when you have your own car or scooter, the way is challenging especially in the dark.

DINNER: the hotel does not offer dinner, but you can order from the Echo Beach restaurant. The staff offers the menu and makes the phone call!

Room Tip: In the beginning we didn't get the room, we booked, but actually it was the better one! There wa...

This place definitely exceeded our expectations. The one bedroom villa was massive with king size bed, sunken shower/tub, large bathroom, and big seating area. The pool was a bit green and maybe not as well maintained as it could be. Breakfast was good though a bit repetitive. Room was cleaned daily. You definitely need some transportation as this place is out of the way, but cost $5 US a day to rent a motorbike which will get you around nicely. Just be careful, as the other drivers are not always on the alert.

Room Tip: You won't be disappointed with any of the Villas.

We initially booked at Mimpi Manis but were sent to Fare Ti'i instead as discussed on the Mimpi Manis review page. We assume they are both owned by the same company.
We stayed at Fare Ti'i from the 19th-25th of September.
Fare Ti'i is a beautiful quiet oasis to hide and relax from the busy traffic of Bali. It is situated in the Canggu area approximately 45 min west of Denpasar. Therefore you will need to organise transport if you want to get anywhere other than Echo beach, we used a private driver. The villa is in easy walking distance to Canggu beach and Echo beach. Both have good places to eat, drink and watch the sunset. There is no restaurant at the villa, however you can order in from several places that deliver from Echo beach. We really enjoyed walking to Ombak café or Echo beach café for dinner and a few drinks while the sun went down. We also liked the convenience of ordering in when we wanted to. There is a small basic shop opposite the villa for emergency supplies like water and limited snacks, although we preferred to shop at the larger mini marts in town which our driver would take us to.
We experienced three of the villas at Fare Ti'i, the first was a little basic with no fridge, kettle or working tv. However the other two were fully equipped, truly excellent villas, although lacking tea and coffee, we bought our own.
Breakfast was cooked each morning by the pool. We were served a plate of fresh fruit and provided fresh tea and coffee. Breakfast was usually eggs with toast and then some mornings we were cooked pancakes or french toast. The cook was very friendly as were all the staff.
At times we felt a little too secluded as the villa complex was at times deserted. There is no reception and no real contact point to book tours or get advice. This was daunting for us as it was our first trip to Bali, luckily our driver which we booked before we came was really helpful we really would have been lost without him. A big thank you to Yoyok from Balimadetours.
The staff although extremely friendly spoke little English and at times this proved to be problematic.
If you have been to Bali before and you are totally self sufficient and after a beautiful relaxing quiet villa then Fare Ti'i would suit you.
However if it is your first time and you need more guidance and tour ideas etc. maybe choose somewhere that has a manned reception or a concierge of some sort readily available.
For improvement Fare Ti'i could have their Mimpi Manis manger Julia come down once a day at breakfast for example to liaise with the guests as she speaks very good English. Also a selection of up to date activity brochures would be great. A place to make tea and coffee would be fantastic either in each room or in the communal area. Lastly the basic villa we were in to start could easily have a fridge and kettle put in there as well as fixing the tv.
Overall Fare Ti'i with a few small tweaks could be one of the best in Canggu.

Room Tip: Avoid the two villas at the front as they are a little to basic. the rest are all great.

My first thoughts when the villa doors were opened for us: Wow! It's exactly like the pictures. And you can't say that for a lot of hotels these days. The place is perfect to unwind, relax and spend a quiet afternoon in the pool or by the bar with your partner. If you're there to move around, you'll find this to be a bit far off from Bali civilization. The famed Tanah Lot temple is about 30 mins away, but after that you'll have to travel a lot. Lunch and dinner is not made at the hotel, so make sure you either eat out or ask the caretakers for the Echo Beach House Restaurant menu in advance. Breakfast is served at the bar by the pool - an experience no one can complain about. Overall, it was a perfect one night stay and a great way to start our holiday in Bali.

Firstly they messed up my booking. I booked a 2 bedroom villa and got a different smaller villa Bali. They say the price is the same. The villa I booked was double the size. There were guest in the other villa so they didn't give it to me. Unacceptable.
The villa Bali I got was a smaller villa with shared toilet between the 2 rooms. Rooms were clean and good. The kitchen just have a small no tiny fridge. The beds were good. Aircond good.
The breakfast was not good at all. Pancakes. Eggs. Bread. Juice and coffee. I mean the taste is ok but not what you'd expect for a breakfast menu in a villa.
The pool was nice.
The staff was friendly enough.

Room Tip: Villa Bali is a 2 bedroom villa with shared toilet a small kitchen with an even smaller fridge.
