The villas were lovely, very spacious and beautifully furnished. We were staying with 2 children and could always find a quiet spot to relax. the pool was really clean and kept the children happy when all we wanted to do was nothing!
The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for us. They came in twice a day to clean and provide fresh linens and then light the mosquito repellent candles in the evening and put the pool and garden lights on - so nice to come home to after an evening out.
The location was perfect - less than 5 minutes to the most amazing cafes and restaurants - we were spoiled for choice every time we went out to eat.
Coco our driver was super helpful with all our questions and drove us wherever we needed to go! There is also an amazing Yoga studio called the Practice just a 5 minute walk away where I attended classes each day and a lovely small spa called Goldust just at the top of the drive - all my requirements met!
I'm just counting the days until I can book to go again - I would highly recommend to anyone!
This group of villas is lovely, very tastefully decorated and attention to detail in the furnishings is great. The road leading down to the villa is a bit rough (and in rainy weather lots of puddles and mud) and the entrance gates seem to be still under construction as is the entrance and reception area. So there's a muddy section of gravel you have to cross to get to your villa door and the temporary reception area is a bit ramshackle for now, but this place will be quite amazing once it is finished. When booking, ensure you are getting a finished villa - ours was not yet complete and so did not have glass walls/doors in the living area which was a problem when it rained. There were some steps leading up to what will soon be a third bedroom and sundeck, but these were also unfinished. So we were slightly disappointed to feel like we had not been given a finished villa as we had expected after seeing the pictures online (and we probably should have been advised and offered a discount), but the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. There are loads of great restaurants, cafes and shops within easy walking distance, so the location is brilliant. And the beach is not far on foot. We would recommend provided you are getting the room you see online and it is finished.
WOW! What an amazing villa! From the moment our driver dropped us off, it was 5 star service the entire time. I am really not sure what anyone could fault with this place, its like a hidden luxury hideaway, I really wish i could have spent my entire 8 nights in Bali, here! The beds are amazing, HUGE bathtubs in both ensuites (more like a mini pool), and beautifully decorated. I really hope to stay here again on my next trip to Bali!
I can't commend Elisa and her team more!!! They were absolutely brilliant, every detail in the villa was amazing; from morning set up (fresh towels and immaculate cleaning) to the turn down of the villa in the evening (candles lit and mosquito repellents). It really felt like we were in a home from home.
Elisa went out of her way to make sure that everything we needed was met, even to a private cooking lesson in the villa one evening (on request), where she and her team taught us local cooking with fresh ingredients bought from the market that morning. She accompanied myself to the market where she helped source local produce that morning, truly an experience that I will never forget.
The villa is located within a stones throw from local beaches and there are plenty of wonderful shops and restaurants literally on your doorstep. The villa is just off the beaten track, but the setting is peaceful and a lovely little hideaway perfect for relaxing.
I cannot recommend these villas more, and definitely will be back soon! Thank you so much Elisa and your team for a truly amazing holiday xx
Our single worst accommodation experience in Bali, in many visits. We were put in Villa I, which is under construction on the upper levels, and looks shocking. Villa I is much smaller, darker and run down than is advertised online. A myriad of small issues (e.g. only 1 pool chair, no toiletries, stained furniture, loud construction noise). Onsite staff (who were very sympathetic to our position) were ultimately not empowered to do anything in response to our concerns. Instead, we had to deal with overseas owners by phone - who were very young, arrogant and unapologetic. Simply would not offer a refund (on the basis "its not their policy"), or an apology. Misleading in a number of the excuses/justifications provided. Eventually, we were offered to be moved into another Villa on the property which is very dark and again falls well short of the photos online. They are charging this property out for $100AUD/night more than is deserved. We understand from onsite staff than many people that have booked to stay at the property turn up and leave because it falls so short of what is advertised online. I doubt this review will change anything because the owner almost seemed proud of himself for trapping us into a reservation based on misleading photos. Avoid at all costs.
A really nice villa, close to some of the better cafes and attractions. We stayed with our 2 kids (5 & 6) it suited us really well. The entrance to the complex is not overly impressive but once you are in the villa its beautiful. Staff were welcoming and were very willing to assist. Represented good value for money...we would certainly stay at Kawung again.
We were there for 8 days and found this villa absolutely heavenly. The villa itself if absolutely stunning, each room done with extremely high taste and you really feel like you're living in luxury and nature. The rooms were nice, and even small things like international adapters made this a wonderful place to stay. The Master bedroom had a wonderful outer shower, and a nice bath that would be an ideal fir for 2 :)
Elysa, the Operations Manager saw to everything, from arranging for a driver to take us around, onsite balinese massages for the wife and I, grocery shopping and even made sure we had all the drinking water we needed. There was a TV in every room, so kids did not have to argue in the evenings. Food-wise, there were plenty of restaurants within 100 metres, catering to almost every appetite. Being Muslim, we had the choice of Nasi Padang nearby and even found a Roti Canai restaurant! The only thing is that one of the 3 rooms can only be accessed by an external steps, which may be a bit daunting for some. But they have a nice garden next to the upper rooms.
Walking to the beach will take you about 10 minutes to Batu Bolong, but the walk is nice and easy. If not, the pool was where we enjoyed many a morning and evening (it's a bit deep for kids, so please make sure you have an adult near). I can't say enough about this place, everything about it was wonderful. Thanks Priscilla and Elysa, you've been wonderful!
