This Villa is very quite and peaceful. It is up in the mountains and the villas are kind of located on the side of a mountain leading down to a mini golf course and a swimming pool. The garden there is beautiful and the view from the top patio is very pleasant. The food was also quite tasty and the mango juice is absolutely delicious. I probably had 6 mango drinks while i was there. One problem was that there were really large lizards inside our room which kept my mom from being able to sleep but just ask the staff and they will get rid of them. I would recommend this place if you really enjoy being in the nature since the villas aren't really enclosed and you can hear all the insects and lizards clicking. You kind of get this feeling of sleeping outside.

Great stay in Kebun Villas were we were the only guests for two days (except the ones stopping by for lunch on the way to the rice fields) and we felt like home : the lady at the reception greeted us by our names (as we made our reservation through a travel website she already had our names) and from then on, everything was perfect. All the staff has been very kind and caring, though very respectful of our privacy. The garden was wonderful, well maintained. Our room was a bit dark (as always or most of the time when it's traditional architecture - small windows) but they had put an extra lamp which was really wecome; The room (Kopi Room - meaning "coffee" ; the one next to ours was called "Kokoa") was big, clean, with a big clean bathroom. No air con , jus a fan, which made it a bit hot during the day ... But we spent most of the time outside hiking in the rice fields or relaxing by the pool, so it was not a problem to us. Breakfast was included when we made the reservation, and we could choose from the menu every morning. The food was good, fresh and in the same range of prices as the other places around (that's to say a bit more expensive than in more touristy areas where you have more choice, but still reasonable)
The pool was pleasant, though sometimes a bit unclear especially after the rain, but still it was so great to be able to take a swim in the afternoon after spending the first half of the day hiking in the fields.
Excellent experience, we would recommend to stay there, two-three days to explore the area. Great people, great place, amazing views.

This is a beautiful hotel half way up the 'rice paddy road' (before Blimbing) with great views over the paddy fields - and quite a spectacular location for a pool! Our room was great - huge with a large bathroom and terrace. It was like staying in a botanical garden! We went for a hike through rural Bali - wandering through small villages / temples and rice fields. If you want to retreat from busy Bali, then this is the perfect place for top quality R&R.

OK, I did not sleep there, but I definitely want to try it, since the staff is just soooooooo nice, and the place is absolutely gorgeous. What a view from the restaurant!
Drinks were very good, some of the staff spoke French, and we had a very relaxing moment. Very nicely decorated.

We stayed here with our 2 boys and another family. The villas were comfortable and had the most amazing views over the rice padi fields and the jungle of palm trees. The villas are all arranged on a hill around a pool and all have their own path leading to them, giving a great feeling of privacy. The pool area is calm and relaxing and we enjoyed a few days just unwinding in the peace around the pool. It is wonderful to be away from the hawkers and noise that you experience elsewhere. We were able to explore Bali from here and the drive north to Lovina is the most beautiful in Bali. It took ages because we kept having to stop for photos!!
If you would like a little bit of peaceful paradise in Bali, this is a great place to come.

Kebun Villas is located near to Belimbing village (some distance from Papuan) only 9km up the rice fields road from where it leaves the super busy west coast highway. In this short distance you climb into very scenic paddy terraces country. The hotel itself has a roadside reception/restaurant area - the rooms are in a nice garden setting sloping steeply down a gully to the pool at bottom. Some rice terraces border the pool which gives a nice touch.
Our spacious room had a beautiful bathroom (but water supply was a bit dodgy), tea and coffee facilities, a tv (no English channels in a hotel that had mainly non-Asian guests), and a large balcony with views of the well tended grounds. The big bed was comfy but had an all or nothing doona - okay for just before sunrise when the room had cooled but not so great for earlier when a top sheet would have done the job nicely.
The small pool and its surroundings was very nice - there was an adjacent building with some gym equipment, a dart board and plenty of games.
The restaurant was disappointing. Although the lights of south Bali and south east Java looked sweet at night, we found prices were 50% higher than we are used to paying for this standard of eating (the 21% inclusive taxes didn't help), and dishes tended to arrive only luke warm as if they had been standing for some time before delivery. The Inclusive breakfast was basic and less filling than at our $28 Kuta hotel on arrival (note: herbal tea only).
There were less expensive restaurants 6, 14 and 16 minutes walk up the road. These had sweet views of the rice terraces.
Kebun's beer frig was broken when we visited (warm Bintang) as was the credit card machine.
A plus was the attentive hard working staff.
There wasn't a lot to do at Kebun Villas - it did not have the scenic variety and circular lane walkways of the Sideman rice terraces area of east Bali. I feel 2 days would be sufficient although if it would be a perfect place for honeymooners or people just wanting somewhere quiet to kick back and relax by the pool or on their bungalow veranda.

Room Tip: There were a few rooms under the restaurant - I feel these might suffer some traffic noise at night...
