“Decent Pasta, Terrible Burger”
Reviewed 13 November 2013

The ambiance of this restaurant is beautiful, no doubt and with prices for entrees in the 100k range we expected food to match. The vegetarian pasta was tasty after adding salt and pepper, as it came out unseasoned, but was a very generous portion. The mountain beef burger was the worst burger I've ever tasted. The meat must have been cooked ten times and then frozen and thawed and cooked again to get such a tough terrible texture. The bun was very good as was the tomato relish that came on the side but nothing could excuse the hockey puck of meat inside, especially not for 150,000! Another downside was that we weren't able to take our left over pasta home with us, as they apparently can't do take away. If we were in Sapa longer I think we might go back to try other things on the menu as it is an overall nice restaurant.

“Great breakfast!”
Reviewed 15 October 2013

Nice and cosy little spot! Service was very slow as there was only one girls and she was rushed off her feet! It was though the best breakfast i had in Vietnam! The coffee was really nice too and they have all sorts of games on the tables so your wait is never boring! A must try!

“Vietnamese Food at its Best”
Reviewed 12 October 2013

While in Vietnam I only had one bad meal, but this places was really really good!

We were only in Sapa for two days and we ate their twice, and that is something I generally never do as I am always eager to try new things. I just couldn't stay away. The design is all roughly carved dark wood furniture, cushions, clay pots and cosy looking sofas. It is a lovely place to just chill after a long day's trekking, play some dominoes or connect 4 (there are games on the tables) have a few drinks, and eat some really good Vietnamese food surrounded by beautiful decor. The service was excellent, and though it wasn't cheap by Vietnamese standards, it was still excellent value for the quality and surroundings you were getting, and I think that is worth paying a tiny bit more for.

“Welcoming staff”
Reviewed 17 September 2013

This hotel was small but very comfortable. Rooms were excellent - our room overlooked the markets where we could see from a distance what was happening - and the staff were amazing. I think this is what really made our stay so pleasurable. Nothing was too much trouble. They were so willing to help with what to do and how to do it. Would thoroughly recommend to future travellers as the place to stay in Sa Pa. Views from the rooms was amazing - when the fog lifted. It was just so enjoyable. Thanks for the experience Pete and staff.

“disappointing”
Reviewed 9 September 2013

this place is so expensive and for no good reason as far as we could tell. i had bland noodles, the fresh spring rolls were really pricey and not better then anywhere else, and the burger was not made well. to top all of that the amount of fries that came along with it was embarrassing. not a place i would return to, especially considering the better and more reasonably priced restaurants in that area.
