Don't expect Sapa View Hotel to be a 5* hotel - it isn't, but it's a good 3* one. It's clean, comfortable and located down the road from the centre. Our highlight was to sit on our balcony and admire the truly amazing views over the valley - ask for a room at the front with a balcony!

Breakfast was good and set us up for the day before we left for our trek with Sapa O'Chau organisation (excellent group).

Lee at the hotel was superb in looking after us and spoke excellent English but as other people have said the rest of the staff speak little.

After our trek we were allowed the use of a room to shower before catching the overnight train back to Hanoi which was greatly appreciated.

The water in the shower doesn't get hot. The bedding smelled. The room smelled and felt very humid because of the lack of air conditioning. The staff holds your passport hostage because of some lame excuse about the proximity to the Chinese boarder. We booked the room as part of a tour package so we did not have a choice. I advise you to make a much better decision because this hotel is awful.

Room Tip: Choose a room at another hotel!!!.

This hotel has the most amazing views from the bedrooms with the balconies. The bedroom was ok, bed was comfortable, bathroom needs updating. The real disappointment was the restaurant table clothes we dirty, the uniforms being wore by the staff we dirty and on sitting down at the table for breakfast there were several cockroaches running around!
The view from the restaurant is beautiful but the owners need to give the place a make over, the reception is not welcoming old and tired. The staff we very friendly but a good use of their time instead of sitting on their phones would be to clean the reception and the restaurant areas!

We stayed a week at the Sapa View Hotel. The staff was friendly and greeted us with a welcome tea. Our room was clean and comfortable. The shower had great pressure and hot water, WiFi was fine, and breakfast made to order. We had the most beautiful views from our two balconies on the 5th floor. It is in a good location near restaurants and shops

The hotel is partnered with Sapa O'Chau, which supports the local community. It is an easy way to give back when booking a trek, homestay or tour. Sho who works at the Sapa O'Chau desk was a joy and very helpful! We booked a 2 day/1 night trek. She also booked our train tickets. Thank you, Sho! We miss you already!

I would highly recommend this hotel and booking your trek with Sapa O'Chau!

Sadly we only stayed one night at the Sapa View but we would have loved to stay a week. Our room was clean and comfortable and had the most magnificent view of the mountains. It's in walking distance to everything and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
Also we booked a day hike with the Sapa O'Chau organisation affiliated with the hotel which was great! Our guide was absolutely brilliant! She had a genuine love of the valley and was energetic, knowledgeable, funny and she cooked a fabulous lunch! We had such a good time we were a little late getting back but the hotel staff were there to help us get to the train in Lao Cai in time, even letting us have a quick shower.
I would highly recommend this hotel!!

We had a wonderful time staying at the hotel. We stayed on a 3rd floor with a mountain view room.

The best hotel I've stayed in Vietnam :)

The view from our room is beyond describe, truly beautiful. You can see all those stepped- rice field even when you are in shower ! Also in the evening, you can sit at the balcony and see the sun set.

The room is clean and nice decorated, cozy and so chill. The bed is really comfortable, when you wake up you can look out at the window too. And there is even a hob in my room !

The location is also good, it's in the center of Sapa, just 5 mins walk to the market, which I really like because, if you stay at the market area, you will be follow around with the Villagers, trying to sell you the local stuffs.

The only thing I think It could be better is the quality of WIFI. it's quite slow and disconnect many times.

Room Tip: a higher room. a better view (but you also have to climb up by yourselves)
