“Fantastic stay in gorgeous Sapa - so convenient!”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

David and staff were absolutely outstanding - the only amnedment to our plans would have been to stay longer! We had 2 1/2 day tours organised, which were brilliant, however our train was 8 hours late, decimating our prevcious Sapa time. David more than compensated and fed us an enormous and excellent lunch of great variety and many courses and sent us on a mini-version of the 1st day tour (which was enough). Service was faultless - David even rode in from off-duty to assist us with an internet issue. Highly recommend - rooms not huge, but stunning outlook and more than comfortable.

Room Tip: Top floor suite - FANTASTIC views/balconies! (Warning - you do have to walk up, though!)

I stayed at the Sapa Paradise View Hotel for 2 nights and really enjoyed my stay. Everything went smoothly (from booking to confirmation to check-in to check-out). David, the owner, is a really nice and professional guy and takes care of everything without overcharging or ripping you off. This is a 3-star hotel and the room standard and price (US$ 45) are up to it. My room had a small balcony that overlooked part of the city (mostly the rooftops of other buildings). It also had a minibar, a computer, a flat TV, among other amenities. In the afternoon, when I arrived tired from a day out they would bring me a delicious complimentary fruit juice and sweet. What else can a guest ask for? So, hospitality is the name of the game here and David knows his business well. A special thank you to the hotel staff (Gêhn, Chi, Tra, Mo, Chung and Kim) for treating me so kindly. Cảm ơn nhiều! I should also say that although Sapa is small the hotel is very well located and one place not to miss is Hoam Rong Mountain, which is very well kept with beautiful landscapes and views and a wonderful hiking place for the morning. Also I would like to recommend a Hamong guide to do the walking tours of the villages nearby: her name is Phinh and she speaks excellent English. Her phone number is 0167-73644052, but you can book a tour with her at the hotel desk. Don´t be put off by all those Hamong girls asking you to buy things in town, it´s how they make a living and I suggest you do use services from the local ethnic minority to show you the villages around Sapa. You'll learn a lot from them... .

We stayed here for 3 days and it really was the perfect hotel to stay at for us. It was extremely cheap and in a perfect location - close to all of the shops and restaurants. The staff were beyond helpful...we received cake and milkshakes everyday which I thought was a cute little touch. They also helped us with organising a 5 hour trek with one of the locals which was a lovely experience. They were always very helpful with anything we required and they even allowed us to use a spare room for showering and resting before our long overnight train trip to Hanoi. If you are looking for somewhere cheap, central and great value with helpful and lovely staff...I would recommend you go here!

This hotel was a great place to stay for 2 nights and 3 days. Very friendly nothing was too much trouble
All you can eat breakfast provided in the price.
We did the tour provided by the hotel on day 2 which was amazing the lady tour guide was brilliant it was very hot but we had spectacular views.
On check out day we had to wait here until the night train but they looked after our bags and made suggestions on what to do for the day. We also chose to have a massage before we left.
Sad to leave it.

We arrived in Sapa at the tail end of a typhoon ,it rained for the entire time but we absolutely loved the whole experience and that had a lot to do with where we stayed. Mr David and Mr Kim were so welcoming and helpful. They were very accommodating and helpful. Our room was lovely and the breakfast was great. Lots of choice. I also took advantage of the massage service and was very happy with both my treatments. We are hoping to return next year.

We stayed at the Sapa Paradise View Hotel for one night in a Deluxe room. From the moment we arrived at 9am the service was outstanding. We were unable to check in to our room at that time given it was too early but Mr Kim and Mr David looked after us by allowing us to shower in a guest room. They also offered us to eat breakfast for $5US each which we took up.

When we got back later that afternoon from trekking Mr Kim took us to our room (room 406). The view was amazing with views of the mountains from two angles and from our bed. Mr Kim showed us around the room and also allowed us to have a complimentary bottle of red wine which we enjoyed on the balcony. We also received a welcome drink and a little cake each.

Mr Kim and and Mr David were happy to do anything from calling our tour guide, booking our transfers to the train station and providing us with complimentary takeaway lunch before we left. They also allowed us to again use their guest room to shower and freshen up.

All staff here were extremely friendly and just an amazing service throughout. Would definitely recommend the deluxe room and specifically room 406 which has superb mountain views. Would stay again here if in Sapa.

Would recommend people contact the hotel to book a transfer from Lao Cai train station to Sapa as it is quite hectic at the train station. Only costs $2.5US per person through the hotel.

Many thanks to the great hotel staff for making our stay a wonderful one and a special thanks for Mr David who organized train tickets for us when we were having trouble getting them. Mr David has excellent customer service skills and goes out of his way to ensure your visit to the hotel is a special one. The rooms were very comfortable and have great views of the mountains. Breakfast was great and the hotel was in a great location to restaurants, shopping and attractions. Mr David organised a wonderful tour guide to take us to the local villages, well worth doing. We would stay there again if going back to Sapa. Carolyn and Graeme Freitag
