Got this hotel as part of our tour package at sapa. Very accomodating and services in line with whatever we need for the tour packages. From bathing facilities after checking out(you may get real dirty from the hiking) to renting of boots, it is really the ideal hotel if you are going with tour trekking. However, I realised some of the people stayed at cheaper hotels and came over for the tour packages! Works either way! The breakfast at panorama is really very good though with a very good view of the sceneries!

It is expensive considering you can get 15/night hotels for 2 people elsewhere in Sapa. But if you want a nice view overlooking the town, the price is justified. If you want a view overlooking the valley, then you ought to be looking at other hotels that are not in town itself. There is a row of hotels that are directly overlooking the valley, and they would provide you with an insane, unobstructed view of the valley.

The staff are nice, and even if you have checked out, they have many shower facilities to use at level 1, with free towels, slippers, toiletries and hot water. The breakfast is good as well.

As i have said, if you want a comfortable stay, this is highly recommended. But you can get non-town views at a better price if you want the Muong Hoa valley view only. Look towards the shopping street for hotels at the edge of the town.

Room Tip: Pay for 6th floor and above. The views are great.

We stayed here 3 nights in July 2014. The rooms are well furnished and are neat and tidy - bathrooms are finished in pine and have a Swiss feel, with rain showers as standard.
The hotel is up a slope behind the town and some of the less fit people arriving at the hotel were breathing hard but no problem for most.
Rooms on floors 1-4 are underground and there is no view from the window other than a retaining wall. Floor 5 is the reception at ground level, and floors above this have the nice views.
Breakfast is included or is $3 extra for non residents. It is nothing flash (cold fried rice, cold eggs, fruit) and the serving area is small and always crowded and disorganised with people jostling for coffee, but for the money it is fine.

Room Tip: Above floor 5

This hotel is very nice and the basis for trekking as it has a travel agency in the hotel that will arrange everything. The trekking they organised with our guide Ma A Duong was really really good and we stayed locally in a homestay. We very very welcome in the house and the dinner they made was incredible.
The only downside of the hotel of that dinner is not that good compared to other places. At least the first night it wasn't. The second it was better. As dinner was included in the hotel we stayed at the hotel but after the first evening we almost went outside for dinner the second day.

We stopped here and had a quick shower and dropped off our gear before heading out on a treck through the rice fields and an amazing night (home stay) with the Hmung people. The staff at this hotel and the guides, family we stayed with and people along the way were very helpful and friendly. Everyone goes above and beyond to make the trip enjoyable. The food in the hotel restaurant was amazing!

The good:
Clean -not neat- but clean
Excellent view if you manage to have down slope rooms -6 floor and above-
Decent breakfast -considering is included in the price- (US$40.00 per night w/ breakfast July 31, 2014)
Good natural view in bathroom, and modern bathtub.

The bad:
The most important bad side in this place is that the terms you agree with the front desk staff are subject to change entirely 15 minutes later, they have no problem to assure you late check out, for instance, and then deny it entirely. So make everything in writing form, even though they may change the terms.

Towels ' smell is intolerable, they are old and yellowish...

Do not leave valuable objects in your room (quite obvious). Due to the fast turnaround of the town, new guests come in and out every day and keepers don't have any problem in entering in occupied rooms to show them to other prospective guests, so chances are that while you are out hiking and trekking, your room has been shown to others.

Room Tip: Excellent view if you manage to have down slope rooms -6 floor and above-

We stayed in two rooms a family of five for one night and enjoyed but the noise was rather bad in entire hotel due to another Vietnamese group. You could hear noise all around the hotel late at night when group returned. Other then that we booked two rooms next to each other but the hotel made a mistake and put us on separate floors we were very angry but the hotel was very sorry and offered us a complementary dinner which was nice on them. The hotel is spacious and clean with nice views and friendly staff, showers to use after check out and before night train. Would highly recommend
