“"Beyond relaxed"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2013

My wife and I stayed here for a week at the beginning of July. The Arcadia had been recommended as a quiet place for the ultimate in restful holidays, and so it proved. There's little point in repeating everything that has been said in previous posts - I'll just say, it's all true. (It seems to me the two "poor" reviews lack credibility).

Our excellent waiter, Verdat, confirmed it was he who told Susi P that the place is "beyond relaxed". That's a good description. The whole atmosphere is very laid back, a great place to chill, well away from whatever you want to get well away from. It was really hot during our stay (40 deg +) and thankfully our cabin had effective air conditioning. The accommodation was very well equipped with a frequently re-stocked fridge/minibar; iron and ironing board; hair dryer; tea/coffee making facilities; and mosquito screens (not that mozzies were a problem - those in my garden at home are much more vicious!).

The cabin was well designed with the most amazing ceiling of many angles! (Don't often see that kind of architectural complexity in a log cabin at home). Cabins are situated in attractive gardens providing a lot of privacy, but plant-life does restrict the view and we had to walk 50 yards or so into the restaurant area before the sea came into view. But what a view! Lots of animals wandering about the gardens, and obviously co-existing quite happily - chickens, ducks, geese, cats, hedgehogs, birds.

Now, I don't usually use room minibars as I don't like being ripped off, but, although I wasn't keeping a tally during our stay, the final charge for water, soft drinks and beer from the minibar was perfectly reasonable.

The relaxing, informal restaurant area is right on the beach. The sand on the beach is quite coarse, and there's also a lot of pebbles, so beach shoes are a really good idea (they can be bought at one of the shops close to the hotel). The beach drops away very sharply once you get out to about 10 metres, but I’d say it’s nevertheless safe for non-swimmers, as long children are supervised and stay close to the water's edge.

There's not much to do of an organised nature. If you're looking for jet-skis and night life this is definitely not the place for you. However if you want to doze on the beach all day and enjoy a simple meal in the evening with local wine, you'll love this place. I'd particularly recommend the fish. I'm going to post photos of the 3 pages of information that you'll find in your room about walks, ruins, natural phenomena, etc, written by the hotel staff (hope they'll be legible). Day-long gulet trips are available from the beach right in front of the hotel. The period October-April is recommended for walking.

Enjoy your stay!

We stayed for a week at Arcadia and the first thing that strikes one is the peace and tranquility. Breakfast is a relaxed affair and very good, freshly squeezed orange juice so refreshing. The food is simple and very good served by a really nice waiting staff. Vedat was fantastic and his knowledge and command of English was excellent. He helped us a lot with advice and recommendations all of which were 100% accurate.
I look forward to another opportunity to spend some time there.

A recommendation from my brother brought us here. Tired after our flight here the 1 hour 40 trip out here from Antalya airport seemed long but arriving at this lovely quiet spot has been a delight from the first moment. "It's beyond relaxed" said our waiter on day one and he's right. Quiet cabin-like rooms in the trees a way from others making for great nights sleep. Our first breakfast was such a treat. Fruit, youghurt, freshly squeezed fruit juice,, muesli, local cheeses, nuts, eggs too if you wanted. All served at a leisurely pace at tables in the trees overlooking the water by friendly staff. Lots to do if you want that - mountains that shoot out ire, ruins along the beach, boat trips, nearby towns.....or you can get in the groove of eating, snoozing, swimming and then perhaps a spot more snoozing. The ultimate relaxation. We love it here.

Had a week chilling out at the Arcadia and it really was just what we needed after a hectic and stressful few months. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble Verdat was excellent and spoke perfect English. The meals on the beach, especially breakfast were excellent and the set meals in the evening were great value for money. We stayed in Arcadia 2 which is just across the road from the main part of the hotel and the bungalows were set in amongst the orange trees, very secluded and quiet. The bungalow was clean and comfortable with a big hammock on the front porch and our cleaning lady was lovely and very contientious. We used the bikes most days and visited the chimera (during the day as we did not fancy the climb in the dark!!)and the village it is mostly flat so not too strenuous. We did eat in the village on three nights but would give the orange restaurant on the beach a miss as the service was not good with the staff almost rude although the food was acceptable. The Karakus was much better and would recommend this and the Lemon restaurant in the village itself. We really enjoyed our stay at Arcadia and would recommend this as a quiet unspoilt hideaway.

While this hotel has many reviews already I couldn't help but just reiterate what so many have said. We had the "Aphrodite" bungalow which was huge (a king and twin bed) with a great front porch and nice bathroom with a great hot shower (hotel prior to this stay in Kas did not have hot water and we were SO grateful!) mini-bar, hot water maker for your making your own pressed coffee or tea. The staff was wonderful and we really enjoyed the new manager who was only on his third day on the job and was obviously a professional. He took care of everything from checking in, to waiting tables, and overseeing to our enjoyment. Eating is inside or out and we did both as the weather was rather chilly one night. They even made a cozy fire in the hard-sided yurt-like restaurant. When we arrived we were hungry but the chef had gone to the market so he kindly asked if we would be amenable to eating next door, which we gladly did and there was no problem with the bill for that restaurant showing up on our bill. I appreciated the relationship between the two establishments. Breakfast was massive and my only complaint would be is one could not possible eat so much food and I felt like there must be a tremendous amount of waste as they just lay it all out in front of you. We ate dinner here both nights and it was delicious and felt upscale and very romantic. Enjoyed the wine and my fresh sea bass. We did not have a chance to sit on the beach as it was rather chilly. But we did walk down to the ruins and play with the amazing rocks on the beach. I can see when the weather is warmer the lounge chairs and umbrellas at the shoreline would be a lovely place to relax.

We stayed 5 nights in Arcadia 1 from 11 May. Excellent retreat with excellent location, not much to say really. If you would like a hidden gem in the nature away from crowds and noises this is the place to be.
Comfortable, clean and quiet hotel right by the beach. Large spacious bungalows among lemon and orange trees allows you to rest nicely, wake up with birds singing. You get served an extensive excellent Turkish breakfast in the garden looking at the sea! no time limits in breakfast however you just want to get up take a dip in the cyristal clear blue water then go for a relaxed breakfast. Lunch and dinner are also available if you wish however we also liked taking a walk in the evenings to the other end of the village where fish restauranst are located on the beach, serving fresh fish, our favorite was Karakus restaurant (belongs to Villa Luka). Nice people, good service, good food and good prices compared to some others.
All in all we had a wonderful stay in Arcadia Cirali, the owner Mr Ahmet and his lovely wife Ms. Gul are kind, warm and helpful. She was extremely sweet and nice, thank you for the orange jam :).
We regret we couldn't stay longer but for sure we will go back there!

Room Tip: We stayed in the one right in front named Artemides, big and nice but i think all the rooms are very...

We were looking for a quiet relaxed final week of our honeymoon, and found exactly that. Stunning setting for breakfast (and lunch and dinner if you like) right on the beach. Laid back, no loud noise, heaven! Beautiful part of the world, with turtles laying eggs on the beach every night.
