“A gorgeous hotel on a lovely quiet beach”
Reviewed 24 August 2013 via mobile

We recently stayed at the Olympus Lodge for 5 nights. It's a beautiful hotel, literally on the beach with nice sun loungers for guests.

The rooms are very clean and tastefully decorated; we particularly loved the cool bathroom. The only reason I haven't given the room a 5 rating is that it doesn't have a sea view, which really doesn't matter given that the hotel is a minute's walk from the beach.

Breakfast was very good with a very wide choice of foods including home made cakes and breads.

We went out into the village for dinner, which is just a short walk and has a range of good restaurants and a very nice bar.

We found the staff very helpful and keen to accommodate us, and would certainly recommend this gorgeous place to others.

I want to give this wonderful place 1 star as I want to make sure there is room for me again next year but cannot as it really is fantastic. It is a truly special haven. Right on the beach in beautiful bird filled gardens this is a perfect spot to de-stress and escape the rat race. The breakfast buffet is fresh, and plentiful, to suit every taste. The rooms are beautifully decorated and kept spotlessly clean. The staff are wonderful, polite and efficient. Some only speak limited English but try very hard and make you feel very welcome. We absolutely loved it and will be back next year. We went in high season so maybe a touch pricey for some but to us it was worth every penny. No pool but not needed as lovely gardens to sit in when you fancy a change from the sea which is just a few steps walk.

Room Tip: All the rooms are lovely as had a look around, just depends how much you want to pay as to the locat...

We (me wife + 12 years old son) Just got back from Olympos Lodge today. there is noting negative I can say about this wonderful boutique hotel. Great location right on the Olympos beach, hidden with pine and palm trees, only 15 minutes walk to Olympos ruins, excellent breakfast buffet, good wine list, comfy beds, hammocks, peacocks, ... are only a few that I mention from the big picture of tranquil atmosphere.

Olympos lodge has 26 years of experience and details to comfort you. Thank you Mr. Ziya & Ms Aysen.

It would seem that I cannot say anything more about the Olympos Lodge as it has already been said! It is really beautiful and the atmosphere is almost spiritual. The rooms are scattered around wonderful lush gardens, and it seems that every day you can discover another little secret place to relax in. It is almost as if you are in another world, it is so natural and peaceful. If you want a change of scenery the beach is just two steps away and you can lounge in one of the tropical looking beach huts and shelter from the sun or swim in the sea . If you are feeling energetic, then a ten minute stroll along the beach will take you to the ancient site of Olympus . If you can drag yourself away from the Lodge, The little village of Ciral is a five minute walk away and has many little restaurants and places where you can hire a car or a bicycle or even book a boat trip. It is very friendly and laid back. However I must mention the two wonderful chefs at the Lodge, Murat and Mehves. Every day they prepare a virtual feast at breakfast (it is almost a work of art, it looks so good). Dinner is always made to what ever requirements you may have and varies every day but is always cooked to perfection. The hotel is managed by Aysen, who goes out of her way to ensure that you have everything you need , so what more could anyone want from a holiday ? The lodge is open all year round and if you want a break from the stresses of daily life, then Olympus Lodge will provide it for you
Ps. There is no swimming pool or fitness centre - sorry in my enthusiasm I ticked the boxes by mistake and couldn't remove them

Luckily I read the critics after my stay. In fact I cannot understand the negative critics at all. Eventhough we have been there in pre season the condition of the Lodge was absolutely perfect. The lodges were clean and modern. Fresh fruits were served every day to your room, service was polite and cautious. Drinks were served at the beach. Food was also very delicious.

The exotic flowers and animals make it a real Eden on earth to me. We are considering a stay at Olympos Lodge any time again.

I'm not one to often write reviews of the places i stay in (although i always use Trip advisor) but this place blew me away so much (and my husband) that it's only fair to share our praise.

From the minute our taxi driver started down the winding road through the mountains to the village of Cirali we had a good feeling about our destination but when we got out the car we were smitten by the beauty of the surroundings and the lodge’s grounds.

We stayed for four glorious nights at the start of May in the honeymoon suit (which is really lovely and tucked away) and spent most of our time on the sun loungers on the beach, swimming in the incredibly clear and calm sea or sitting in the beautiful, lush gardens.

The magic of O.L.H comes in it’s ability to make you feel like you’re almost the only ones there. The rooms are very well hidden behind trees and across the grounds that you always feel you have so much space to explore. There’s so many places to sit peacefully, in the sun or the shade and the double hammock became a bit of a favorite place for us to read our books and sip cocktails (which the staff are very good at bringing, just when you start to get thirsty).

I think other reviewers have mentioned the wildlife at the lodge and this became one of our favorite things. Everyday we spotted (or heard) a new animal wondering the grounds. Peacocks, chickens, ducks, cats, dogs, sheep, tortoise, turtles, frogs and hedgehogs all made an appearance and seemed to surprisingly get along rather well with one another. Even with all the peacock and chicken chicks that were wondering around.

The location is brilliantly situated with it being just 4 minutes walk (if that) into the village of Cirali where there are a small selection of lovely restaurants and little shops, 20 mins walk to the Olympos Roman ruins and a 10 minute car journey (which the hotel organised for us) to Mt Olympos and it's natural gas-fuelled flames. All of which are a must and really enjoyable.

Other special things to mention are all the staff (and particularly Aysen) who were so friendly, helpful and kind and couldn’t do enough to make us comfortable. Breakfasts were very very good and our room was lovely and always kept so clean.

Every good review seems very similar to our experience of Olympos Lodge and our glorious short break. From the moment we arrived we felt incredibly lucky to have found it and although it isn’t cheap it was totally worth every penny.

Olympos Lodge is worth the extra cost. Relaxed yet attentive and friendly service in a rustic, Garden of Eden setting on the beach; what more could you want?
I have stayed at Olympos Lodge three times: in October, November and April and will stay there the next time I go to Cirali.
The beach is rocky, so bring shoes to swim in, as well as sunscreen and mosquito repellant for your walk down the beach to the ancient city of Olympos.
