Assos Alarga, Bed and Breakfast

Very nice B&B. Extremely good service staff makes you feel truly welcome.

Room (Orsa) was big and comfortable. Nice big bed and quiet at night. Bathroom had a great view.

Pool is a decent size and has an almost perfect PH-reading (we all know how important that is). Unexpected service at the pool was a nice surprise.

Breakfast consisted almost entirely of home made or locally produced food.

Assos Alarga is special and distinguishes itself from an average B&B, this is for no small part the result of the owner's/manager's (Eçe) hospitality and the joyfulllness of her help Ayșen.

It was a delight to stay at Assos Alarga.

Aan alle Nederlanders: ze hebben de Nederlandse versie van Scrabble! Eeb unicum in Turkije.

Highly recommended.

Our 2 nights at Assos Alarga in late May was the highlight of our 6 week holiday to Europe. We absolutely loved our stay, wishing we could have stayed longer.Ece was so helpful prior to our arrival with travel advice and she was the most wonderful and engaging host during our stay.As we were using public transport she assisted us with getting the best onwards connections.
The rooms are delightful, with expansive views of the glorious countryside,a fantastic, secluded swimming pool & surrounds, gorgeous courtyard & patios, all exuding charm & character.Ece & her lovely helper prepared amazing breakfasts that looked too beautiful to eat!
Assos Alarga is nestled in a very historic village just minutes from the archeological sites & above the picturesque fishing village of Assos.
Assos Alarga, meaning the smallest Hotel....but with the biggest heart, captivating & welcoming....we hope to return.

The staff can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable and effortless. The building has fantastic architecture, which fits right in with the historic village up on the hillside. The rooms are well appointed, clean and new. Breakfast was 5 star (and I've stayed at 5 star hotels), under a vine-covered trellis by the pool. I had a refreshing swim in the forever pool, which is well maintained, in a courtyard surrounded by trees. Our stay at Assos Alarga was the icing on the cake of our 10-day trip to Turkey. The most disappointing part of our stay was leaving after only one night. Had I known what our experience would have been like, I would have booked 3 nights!

Staying at Assos Alarga was a complete different experience . Thanks to Ece ( the owner) we felt like being on visit at best friends .
She thought of everything on behalf of us, gave us best suggestions, and made sure everything goes smooth.
Breakfast was delicious & various , served with smile & care.
The ambiance and architecture of hotel together with the historically rich surroundings created the mystical and relaxing mood that we didn’t want to leave....

I could stay there forever......

We visited Assos because we are interested in antiquity. We were well rewarded for doing so. If this place was good enough for Aristotle it should be good enough for the rest of us. Born in antiquity and reborn at the hands of archaeologists and a skilled architect, the tiny Assos Alarga B&B is an absolute treasure. Beyond its beauty is the hospitality extended by Ece Alton and her parents and co-owners, the famous architect Turgut Alton and music Professor Tuvana Alton. All three were present when my wife and I visited in early October, 2013 and what a time we had! Ece is a marvelous hostess, raconteur, and locavour as well as a guide to Assos and its environs. The B&B is very small, three rooms in all, so when you stay there you become a virtual member of the family. Do yourself a big favor and complete your immersion in antiquity by reposing at Assos Alarga and enjoying remarkable architecture and exceptional hospitality.

Room Tip: All rooms are charming.

Quaint, elegant, beautiful. Fabulous service from the owner and her crew. Delicious breakfast. At the top of the village near the Temple of Athena with great views. Our favorite hotel in Turkey. We would go back in a second. Just added two more beautiful rooms.

Like other reviewers we found that one night at this delightful little inn was too short. We had a wonderful roast lamb dinner on the patio and the best breakfast of our trip in Turkey the next morning by the pool. Rooms were very comfortable and we can't say enough about our hosts, so eager to please, interesting conversation, generous and hospitable. We would love to go back!
