We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Hotel Asur. From the moment we walked in we started to relax. The hotel was just as lovely as before when we visited it two years ago and we are already looking to book again for next year. Habib ( the owner) and all his staff are so helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The setting of this hotel is perfect for a relaxing peaceful stay and we spent many hours sitting by the river watching the boats go up and down,. The rep Huseyin was also very helpful and full of knowledge of the area and nothing was too much trouble for him. The guests were all very friendly and many are repeat visitors year after year which speaks volumes! Thanks you again to everyone at the Hotel Asur, we will be back next year!! Sue & Vince Burgess :-)

Set in a beautiful location right on the river, this hotel is perfect for a peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable holiday. All hotel rooms are built on one level so they seem like quaint mini-chalets (don't confuse with the Asur 'apartments' which are located completely separate from the hotel, a few minutes' walk away). The rooms are fairly small, with tiny bathrooms including a shower cubicle, toilet and basin, but if all you're doing is sleeping/washing in the rooms then they are all you need! My favourite part of the room was the porch area outside - great for sitting out in the warmth of the early evening sun and drying wet swimwear out on! Each room has a safe, which was a really important feature for me as it meant we could lock away our valuables. The rooms are kept immaculately clean by the staff at the hotel, who come in to clean the bedroom/bathroom, make the bed and change the towels every day, and to change the bed sheets every other day. The reception staff (Huseyin in particular!) speak very good English and couldn't be more helpful. We arrived at the hotel at about 3am and the staff were waiting outside for us, ready to take our bags and lead us to our rooms. You can also change up Sterling to Lira at the reception desk if you choose to. If you book through Thomas Cook, the rep (also called Huseyin) is the most brilliant rep ever! He visits the hotel every day at least once (even on his day of rest it seemed) and is always a phone call away if you need anything. He was very funny and his advice was always useful. There is a free boat service from the hotel to nearby Iztuzu 'Turtle' Beach about three times a week. It will give you a couple of hours at the beach then bring you back, or you can pay to get a bus back if you want to stay longer. The pool area is very well maintained (the army of cleaners seemed to clean the whole area every other day); there are clean towels that can be used if you don't use your own, plenty of sun loungers and a pool bar that serves drinks and snacks all day. What I noticed most was how quiet it was - even with 15+ people around the pool (no children around whatsoever), it was so peaceful, surrounded by the lovely trees and flowers (they even have hammocks in the garden area!) The choice for breakfast is wonderful, with chefs who will cook you an omelette or pancake right in front of you if you want one, and plenty of other options. The dining area is covered but very open - again, relaxing and peaceful. The Wednesday night hotel BBQ is not to be missed - usually held down by the jetty I believe, but as it was raining for us we just ate in the normal dining area. The food was fantastic - lots of choice. The centre of Dalyan is about a 10-15 minute walk away - you will find plenty of shops, restuarants, bars... We were spoilt for choice! If you don't want to venture out in the evening, the hotel have a great menu too. The ONLY bad thing I could say about the Asur is that they own a few dogs, and although they were fine most of the time, they tend to come and sit expectantly by your table while you eat (at breakfast and dinner) - we had our evening meal there on our final night and one of the dogs was actually scratching my leg for attention! A bit off-putting but it definitely didn't ruin our overall experience. There is plenty to do in the local area and further afield - we we busy every day! But if you just want a sunbathing holiday then this hotel is perfect too.

If you are looking for a beach holiday for the family, this is not for you. If you want to laze under the shade of blossom laden trees by the river, with a free boat trip down the river to the protected Turtle Beach. Drinks and snacks around the pool and dozens of top class restuarants to choose from in the nearby village of Dalyan, then visit this hotel......But keep it to yourself.

First, this is a lovely Hotel, it is located outside of Town, though only a short 10-15 minute walk to the centre, so that's not a fault. It is riverside and has a lovely aspect on the river with both sunbeds and hammocks available to all. The Pool area is also very nice, and when we were there no shortage of beds. The rooms are on the small side, You'd be better sharing a case, or you will be tripping over it. The rooms are all ground floor and have a nice 'village' feeling to them, so you can talk to your neighbours readily which is very nice. Rooms have AC and a safe, both free to use. It is very laid back and all in all pretty good. Where they could do better is in the breakfast area. It runs from about 07:00 to 10:00 however irrespective of how many people are in it looks like a single bowl of fruit is enough, we ate around 09:00 each morning, and there wasn't ever any fruit left, only the remnants of what looked like a low end fruit salad. I had to ask, on separate occasions for, Boiled eggs (a staple in Turkey) bread and butter, all of which when they were finished there was no effort to replenish, without customer intervention. Orange juice, though free, was the industrial type (in a country where Oranges grow on trees!). Pool towels are provided, good, lunch snacks are good, showers are good, though the patio furniture is cheap and could be better. I would stay there again, but will be going again in September, to another Hotel.

We've been going to the Asur for ten years now; in fact this year it's our tenth anniversary year! Sometimes we've been twice a year as we enjoy the peace and quiet and the total tranquillity of the place. The Asur is the real deal in relaxation. We have been welcomed and made to feel like we're at home by Habip, Huseyin and all of the staff.
Small, friendly and extremely clean.
Just can't wait to see you all again.
