“Daylan isn't a great place to stop for the night.”
Reviewed 8 July 2014 via mobile

We just stopped here on a road trip through turkey in the hopes that it would be a nice place to stay. I'm not sure why Dalyan is a tourist destination since it is an isolated agricultural area and you can't swim in the river because the water isn't clean. I would recommend staying somewhere closer to the beach - perhaps in nearby Oludeniz. The rooms at the hotel are small and the bathrooms are rustic, but they may indeed be nicer than the other hotels in Daylan.

Dear guest,

Yes, Dalyan may be a little agricultural fishing village , however it is still a well looked after tourist destination as it gathers so many people all around to world to provide them with so many holiday options all in one basket such as the beach, the river, the sulphur water/hot springs, mud baths and history ...So, yes, you may not be able to swim in the lake however you can reach the beach in just 15 minutes via beautiful and tranquil boat ride in between the reeds and along an exceptional nature .. Dalyan is a small conservative area with quiet unique nature and peacefull ambience that is very hard to beat...
We hope that one day when you would like to return, you would prefer looking at Dalyan with a different perspective...Asur Hotel/Assyrian hotel has been built for 23 years now and has gone through several refurbishments however, because of its design and structure, yes , the bathrooms may not be larger in size but they are adequite and it is a boutique hotel with a garden that is distinquished... We would be very happy if we have another chance to welcome you...
Best regards,
Asur Hotel&Apartments&Villas

The Asur is a lovely, tranquil hotel. The staff and guests were all very friendly, most been regulars at the hotel, which is always a good sign. The hotel was spotlessly clean.
Visited the hotel by myself but never felt lonely.
I never go anywhere twice, but already looking at going back again.

Just returned from the most relaxing, enjoyable holiday we have ever had and this was all down to the amazing hosts Mirna and Habip at The ASUR Hotel.

We had read the reviews and chose to spend my 30th birthday at ASUR as a result. Thomas cook did not have the dates available on their website so we chose to book flights ourselves and book directly with ASUR. From the first point of contact to the morning we left Asur I cannot fault them or the hotel. The staff were amazing throughout the holiday. Hotel spotless at all time.
Mirna booked us a special boat trip for my birthday and it was amazing. Very special day. On our return to the hotel we got to our room that had been all decorated for my birthday complete with with flowers, cake & bottle of wine.(See pictures) In the evening they also made a very special effort during our meal. This was going above and beyond. We really felt like we were part of the family while we were there. The pool is perfect with spectacular views of the mountains in the back round. We are already planning our next stay at ASUR!

Thank you to all the Staff, especially Mirna who made this holiday a memorable one. We shall see you again soon.

Billy & Shannon.

Excellent holiday at the asur, staff could not do enough to make this a very special holiday! 10 of us went to celebrate 50th birthdays and 33years wedding anniversary! As a lively bunch we were made so welcome. Came home feeling relaxed, refreshed and looking forward to going back again for our 6th visit! We were also invited to celebrate the hotels 21st birthday- I'm sure they will celebrate many more. Perfect setting, wonderful staff and Mener is just an excellent host! Thank you! If you are looking for a little sanctuary to rest your mind body and soul this is it!

Went here for a short break. Wonderful hotel could not fault it at all. Rooms small but very clean air conditioning which would be a great help in the height of summer. Staff very friendly, helpful and happy. Excellent location down near the river. Sunbeds on the riverbank hammocks in the garden lots of sun beds round the pool all areas spotlessly clean. Short walk into town banter from the restaurant guys but no pressure at all. Ate out at the local restaurants all good. Would thoroughly recommend Dalyan and Hotel Asur. Spoke with some of the guests who return to this hotel 2-3 times a year.

Room Tip: Most rooms small but single storey rooms nearer pool may be better
