We spent two nights here while seeing Kaunos, the Carian rock tombs, Istuzu Beach and driving through the surrounding mountains. It's a little hard to find (our GPS seemed to be totally confused when we got within about 5 miles of the place and we had to phone the hotel for help). The hotel is extraordinarily comfortable and clean, built with sort of a chalet motif. Breakfasts, included in the room rate, were plentiful and very good, with an assortment of tea, coffee, cereal, breads, hard-boiled eggs, Turkish sausages, yogurt, honey, olives, cheeses and probably a bunch of other things I'm forgetting. Deniz, the woman who runs the place, is very friendly and a pretty good source of local info. She also lived in New York for two years "just to improve my English." It worked; her English is very good. Only regret is that we didn't get to try the hotel's pool. We ran out of time, though we did find time to sit along the side of the pool for about15 minutes to unwind after dark one night.

Can't imagine why anyone would give the hotel 5 stars - the rooms are pretty basic, many of which are located close to the noisy road. The poor yoga teacher was having to compete with ambient road noise, which didn't make the practice as relaxing as it should have been.
Our room lacked any of the little touches that make it feel homely - a derisory and (somewhat askew) photo of a couple of glasses of fruit were all the room had as decoration. Take your own toiletries and yoga mats. Breakfast was really good but the dinners needed a bit more imagination - our last meal was pretty good, so they are capable of providing interesting food.We liked the people who worked there - always keen to help and with ready smiles. Dalyan is a beautiful area with lots to do and see. We really enjoyed the holiday, but keep your expectations low - Grenaidine Lodge is a basic hotel that doesn't provide anything close to 5 star accommodation.

Room Tip: Insist on a downstairs room

After reading all the reviews of Grenadine Lodge prior to going I was looking forward to a peaceful week in quiet surroundings with cheerful helpful staff. Sadly the reality was a real let down. The upstairs rooms have such an acutely angled ceiling over the bed that you had to crawl into bed from the foot rather than the head unless you wanted to crack your head on the ceiling. The room was gloomy and very basically furnished with a thin coverlet as sheet/ blanket. The main yoga barn was alongside a noisy road and in the whole week we were there it was never swept of the leaves and debris blown in by the wind. The Mosquitos were out in force and there was no attempt by the staff to limit their presence in the dining room or yoga barn by providing coils or candles and several of the party got very badly and repeatedly bitten. There were no mosquito nets or indeed any attempt to help with diminishing the problem of the Mosquitos. Gamza in the bar, Denise and the staff who cleaned the rooms were delightful and very helpful but Aygul and her brother seemed tired and bored with having us there. Trying to relax by the pool with their cigarette smoke wafting over us what not the nicest way to spend a holiday. Having no indoor lounge where a group can spend the evening was also a negative. On the plus side our Yoga teacher Jane was superb and made the holiday.

Room Tip: The ground floor rooms have normal height ceilings and a pleasant terrace for sitting out in during the evening.

Just returned from a seven day yoga holiday and enjoyed every moment. The surroundings, rooms and food were all 5 star standard and we were made very welcome by the lovely staff, who couldn't do enough for us. I would definitely come back to sample more of the sun, peace and tranquillity offered by our hosts. Thank you, Aygul and all your team for a memorable stay

2013 heralded my 6th visit to Grenadine Lodge Hotel. I have been staying here and running a yoga retreat week since 2008 .... and I couldn't recommend anywhere better!
This is a stunning venue - perfect for yoga and the opportunity to relax. The Lodge is run by Aygul Huner and her family and, after all this time, I'm privileged to be able to call them friends. I arrive happy in the knowledge that everything will be taken care of - the cleanliness of the rooms, the efficient and friendly staff, the quality of the amazing food on offer - what's not to like!
The hotel is perfectly situated - about 15-20 mins walk into Dalyan. Go the other way and you'll arrive at the conservation beach of Iztuzu. Dalyan itself offers an abundance of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants plus the opportunity to vist the hammam (Turkish baths), the mud baths, a spectacular view of the Lycian tombs and the possibility of being rowed across the river to visit the ancient city of Kaunos.
Nothing is too much trouble here at the Lodge and Aygul and her staff go out of their way to ensure that all visitors have the best stay possible.
Go visit .... you won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: The downstairs rooms that open out around the pool are stunning and have an extra "living room".
