If you're looking for a quiet hotel with welcoming hosts and delicious food you could not do better.

Nothing is too much trouble for Astrid and Kamil. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were made to feel like especially honoured and valued guests. Trips were organised with the minimum of fuss and prices agreed in advance. For example I particularly wanted to try a turkish shave (being a bloke!) and while I was at it had my haircut too. Shamefully my Turkish is non-existent but Kamil not only drove me and my son to the barber's but made sure it was understood what we wanted. Breakfasts were (I understand - this was our first trip to Turkey) typically Turkish buffet style with some items different every day.

The large, en-suite room was clean with lovely touches such as flower petals beautifully arranged on towels on the bed when we arrived. A personal note signed by Astrid and Kamil awaited us on arrival. The hot water was hot, the air conditioning worked a treat and our room had its own private balcony with views across the valley and of the hills in the distance.

The location of the hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Dalyan and has a wonderful swimming pool with toys for the kids to play with and lots of sun loungers around for the adults to snooze, read or sunbathe. Adjacent to the pool is a well stocked bar.

Dalyan itself is on a river and there are innumerable river boats as buses and available for private hire. Of the trips the 12 islands is a must, as is the hire of a boat for the day with your own captain. This sounds very grand but if you're able to share the boat with another family as we did the costs are kept down. Swimming in the sea, discovering underwater caves and swimming in the thermal river sounds odd but was lovely with the water warmer the further down you went. The kids enjoyed seeing the turtles and fishing for crabs. The boat trips themselves are a joy as they wind their way along the river. A trip to the mudbaths is also highly recommended.

Astrid and Kamil clearly worked very hard to make our holiday wonderful. Early starts for them in getting breakfast ready and often staying up late with their guests playing OK, chatting and generally being the perfect hosts. A big thank you to them both. We can't wait to visit again.

I don't usually write reviews on hotels, but this time I had to.
First because it's the only way to pay tribute to the staff, second cause I won't return there so soon ( another baby on the way ;o) so I don't have to keep it for myself.

The hotel is ok, cleean and good accomodations, great pool and jaccuzi, nice and quiet place.
Food was excelent ( took only local meals and it was worth it). Rooms are big , good air con, good bathroom, good beds ( and I know a lot about it ).

But that is the easy part, I mean it's only matter of means. The thing that makes SandyBrown so special is Astrid and Kamil.
They are really very friendly and they seem to have only one thing in mind : to make everything easy and pleasant to you. Want to go somewhere? want to eat something special, want to do a trek somewhere? They have the answers, and they contact theyr network to make it possible for you and at lower prices too. Our son was charmed by them, never wanted to return home ( that would be the only bad point for SandyBrown ;o).
It's simple, whenewer we needed something for us or our son, Astrid found a solution.

So it was really a good hollyday for us 3, and we still miss the chats we had with Astrid by the pool once the kid was sleeping.

Astrid and Kamil if you are reading this, thank you again.

P, C and of course, Paul

Just spent 11 nights at Sandybrown Hotel we found it a very relaxing place to stay . Astrid and Kamil who run the hotel are very friendly and cannot do enough to help in any way from advising the best resturants to eat in and sorting out trips for you .It is a small hotel with beautiful pink flowers surrounding the building which were picked each morning to go on the breakfast table which was a nice touch .The breakfast every morning was very nice with something different each day.Their is no hotel entertainment but it is only a 10 to 15 minute walk to the town centre and river where you can find plenty of lovely places to eat and watch the world go by. It was always nice to finish the evening off around the hotel bar for last drinks with other guests and Astrid and Kamil. They have a lovely friendly dog called Shanty
and a great little boy called Max .We would like to recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a
relaxing holiday and would like to thank Astrid and Kamil for making our stay special

This hotel, run by Astrid and Kamil, is an oasis of peace and tranquility. We loved it. It is situated in a very quiet part of Dalyan (about 15 minutes walk to town) and does not have any entertainment. This was a big plus for us as we like the quiet life after being surrounded by people at work for the rest of the year! Astrid and Kamil couldn't do enough and the breakfasts were lovely with something different every day. They have a lovely little boy (Max) and a dog, so felt very homely. They can advise on anything you would like to do or see in Dalyan but we did nothing for two weeks...... I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Spent a very relaxing two weeks vacation at this hotel. One of the attractions is that this is a small hotel in a quiet part of Dalyan, but within fifteen minutes, level walking distance, of the river and town centre.
We arrived at 3.00 am to be greeted by Kamil and were shown to a pleasant room on the ground floor, with a small private balcony adjacent to the pool.
Breakfast was of the traditional Turkish style that we have come to expect and enjoy on our many visits to Turkey. Each day there was always something a little different which gave a little variety over our stay.
The hotel is run by Kamil and Astrid who were great hosts, always on hand to help but never intrusive. There was also the very friendly dog, 'Shanty' who was happy to be patted as you passed by but was never a nuisance to the guests.
At lunchtime there was a small menu of freshly prepared food which was cooked by either Astrid or Kamil in a small kitchen adjoining the bar. One of my favourite dishes, when visiting Turkey is Menemen. I have eaten this dish in many restaurants over the last 15 years and I must say Kamil's has to be one of the best. He even gave an impromptu cookery lesson one lunchtime for those guests that wanted to learn how to cook the dish.
Dinner could be taken at the hotel and I found the food, again cooked by Kamil and Astrid, was delicious and a great experience.
On many evenings on returning to the hotel, after dining out, we spent time at the poolside bar chatting with Astrid, Kamil and the other guests. The atmosphere was very relaxed and it was as though you were amongst old friends.
My wife and I had a really relaxing holiday, in lovely surroundings and with great company. A lot of the credit has to go to our hosts, who have produced a little haven for those seeking peace and tranquility.
Thanks for a great holiday we hope we can visit again in the not too distant future.

Nice & small hotel; very private athmosphere with a great host family. Their Kid and dogs are strolling around the beautiful pool.
Great and colouful flowers in a nice garden. Don't expect hotel entertainment but they will help you to organize good tours into the beautiful surrounding. This is more like visiting friends. Great place to relax. We like to come back.
