“Great location”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

Not sure how a hotel qualifies as 'boutique'. However it is a nice hotel but definately get a room at the front with balcony. The back rooms look out onto other properties very close! Rooms were fine though and housekeeping excellent. Reception kind of non existent but helpful if you needed anything. Breakfast was satisfactory. Swimming pool area good although not big. No problem getting a lounger but was not high season. Prices for food and drinks pretty average. Fantastic location and Dalyan is lovely.

To reiterate the review from Kate H (who says it all) we also stayed at May half term and had a lovely lovely time; impossible not to in Dalyan, the village atmosphere, cocktails, lazy river with its boats and the imposing rock tombs combine to make a location and holiday resort unlike any other. The Tezcan is just the perfect place to enjoy the atmosphere from, without doubt the best location in Dalyan, a minute to the shops bars and restaurants and all the goings on on the riverfront. You MUST book a river view room as those behind are less pleasing although cheaper. The pool was indeed cold though it didn't put the kids off but will surely be much warmer from the end of June. The breakfast is good but needs FRUIT! Fresh local watermelon or oranges would have been so welcome amongst the salami...The staff were helpful and friendly although I had to teach Ismail how to make a banana split and sometimes things got lost in translation. If you order scrambled eggs you most likely will get fried! A Spinach omelette turns out to be a Spanish omelette at the Tezcan but all of this is part of its charm. The beds were a bit hard but bearable- but the riverfront rooms are very pleasant. To improve them hugely; much better lighting in the bathroom AND new hairdryers. If you don't want a bad hair day every day take your own hairdryer as these have heat but no 'blow'! Its a nice little hotel; not perfect; but nice. This was our 7th trip to Dalyan and we have stayed everywhere. This is the place we would visit again and that is worth a lot.

Room Tip: Riverfront is essential so book in advance so as not to be disappointed.

This hotel must surely have the best location in Dalyan. You can eat your breakfast in the grounds while watching the activities on the river as the crews prepare their vessels for the day. The views from the balconies are also amazing and the scene is forever changing on the river.
The bedroom is average but does have this amazing view. The staff are friendly and will carry your luggage for you as there are no lifts to the 2 floors, The only meals we had were breakfasts which were ok. On one morning there were freshly cooked omelettes. Unfortunately the choice of fillings was just cheese and or peppers but on another morning sweet or savoury pancakes were available. There is a swimming pool for guests and many people were enjoying this facility. This hotel is an ideal location as it is only about a 30 minutes car journey from the airport at Dalaman

This hotel is in a great location, right on the river and almost in the heart of the town. Hotel is clean and the staff are very helpful. Breakfast is average, evening meals likewise, but perfectly adequate.

We've just spent half term at the Tezcan Hotel and had a wonderful time. It's probably the best location in Dalyan - right on the river and in the centre of the town but not noisy at all. I think the hotel itself must have been smartened up since some of the older reviews on here. To us the pool and rooms were clean and fresh. We had a suite over-looking the pool and river, which was compact but fine for a family of four (although one of the kids found the sofa bed quite hard, she slept perfectly well for the whole week). Our double bed was also quite hard, but we coped! The lighting in the bathroom was poor (but at least everyone looks lovely in the gloom!). The hotel staff (particularly those serving at the bar and the outside restaurant) were lovely. The morning omelettes and pancakes (on alternate days) were freshly cooked to order. The breakfast could have been improved by having a selection of fresh fruit on offer, but the bread was lovely and fresh and you could order freshly squeezed orange juice for a few extra lira. The pool was very cold but it was early in the season so perhaps it'll warm up over the summer. Dalyan itself is a fabulous place to go, with a vibrant little village atmosphere (but no lager louts or nightclubs) and a wide river (watching the world go by was lovely) giving access by boat to a huge lake to the north and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. We had two great days out on a boat with a lovely man called something like Dramazan! There weren't as many mosquitoes as we thought there might be with it being on a river, but we did wear repellent in the evenings. The weather (May 2014) was wonderful - about 30+ degrees C but with a cool breeze much of the time. Lots of fab (and not overly expensive) restaurants on the doorstep, with little shops selling touristy stuff, handbags, tshirts and hoodies etc and a market every Saturday morning. Mud baths and turtle watching are a must. A really relaxing holiday with enough to do to stop kids getting bored! It'll be hard to find anywhere else as good. We will be back!

I'm writing this as I lie in their awful bed. The mattresses are thin and cheap. You feel every spring in them. I dare not pull the sheet back to see what it looks like. The sheets are good quality, but there is no top sheet. The blankets are old. The mattresses sit on old covered platforms that look dirty and have ripped and fraying fabric. The rooms have a cheap, motel feel in general.

The windows do not have screens, and I made the mistake of leaving mine open all day yesterday. I've been fighting off mosquitos all night, which is why I'm awake at 5 a.m. That's inexcusable.

The breakfast is ok. Free omelettes, but a charge for orange juice? I didn't eat any other meals here - why would you, with so many great restaurants around?

Yeah, the location is good, but that's it. Can they get some lighting in the side street they're on? Oh, and no elevator.

Room Tip: The best room is in a different hotel.

Just returned from a week at the Tezcan Hotel in Dalyan. The hotel has about 44 room over two stories with 24 having balconies overlooking the Dalyan river with views to the Tombs. These rooms get full sun from lunchtime onwards. There is no lift so be careful if you need assistance climbing stairs. There is a good sized swimming pool overlooking the river with plenty of sun loungers. There is a poolside bar which is open late. The rooms are cleaned every day with fresh towels. The breakfast is buffet style with unlimited bread, tea, coffee, cereal, cold meats and cheese. You can have an omelette or a pancake every other day. Fresh Orange Juice is 7lira (approx £2 for a large glass). The staff are all very attentive and friendly. The bar prices are similar to smaller bars and restaurants in the resort. The location is ideal with all the river boats on your doorstep you will be spoiled for choice for trips up and down the river. The hotel also does meals in the evening which looked like really good value although there are so many great restaurants in Dalyan we never tried the meals. The rooms at the back can be a little noisy. The free Wifi is not very fast but adequate for emails and web browsing, I could only get it to work in my room it would have been nice to have access around the pool. All in all a great hotel which we would love to return to.

Room Tip: Ask for, or book a room with a balcony - they are only about £8 a night extra.
